Fauci says vaccinated people should 'go the extra mile' and wear masks

It said all viruses mutate [derp] and used a bunch of hyperbolic language like ‘super strain’ but other than that I didn’t learn anything.

And you can't make a linear argument that perhaps it's not good to let a virus that mutates hang around too long and have too many willing hosts?

That train has left the station.

Thank your local Chinese communists.

Um, no - it hasn't "left the station." If there wasn't a ton of misinformation out there, maybe we could achieve herd immunity. Maybe our mutating virus friend would NOT have so many willing hosts.

Have you seen the map of vaccination rates? It's embarrassing. The only states at or approaching 70% are blue states. The only thing the right has done from the start is sow confusion and spread misinformation. And the right is STILL doing it.

So, according to dearth of brains, everything that happens in countries over which we have no jurisdiction that visits harm on us thereby exonerates
any manner of recklessness, gross negligence, counterproductive messaging, and even affirmative aggression against those trying to mitigate and
solve the problem here, so long as the malefactor is a GOP fucking orange MORON.

That's why people bring up 61. That wasn't just wrong. We're over half a million. 61 was a catastrophe of a comment in terms of anything related to accuracy or factual information.

Yeah, the three weeks to flatten the curve and millions of Americans projected dead was real factual. Spare me.

Mixing died with Covid in with died from Covid, nifty way to get some big election year numbers but factual or scientific, not so much. Lockdowns work except when they don’t, not so much factual. On and on.

You either have faith in the vaccines or you don’t. Take it, get on with your life and leave the rest of us alone.

We don’t care about anyone in any state who isn’t vaccinated, so long as, they aren’t part of the vulnerable population. I suspect you chart doesn’t reflect that. Get back with me if it does.

The reason we don’t care about the non-vulnerable population is because by far the greater probability is that this population will get the bug, recover, and then become immune to further infection. Immunity is immunity. Also, there’s this wonderful invention called ‘treatments’. Ivermectin is a good one. Put it altogether, cases may rise [we don’t care] but as long as the hospitals aren’t overwhelmed—we don’t care.

We go on. We keep our businesses and our schools open so we can decrease the suicide rate in teens. How about we start thinking about kids for a change?

Are you really bringing in "the kids" to this argument?

Trying to think of the kids. See, I don't want COVID to finally mutate to something that nobody wants. That's where the vaccine comes in.

In no way would I ever support mandating a vaccine - but again, there has been so much misinformation on it. I find it astounding how you downplay the threat of COVID, but somehow vaccines are some crazy bogeyman where the %'s of something bad happening are much higher.

And enough of the "reporting" thing. COVID was friggin' devastating, on every level. Your early ridicule of the #'s was wrong.

Nope. It's not BS.

Those who haven't been vaccinated were recently referred to as "variant factories." You've always said that the virus is gonna virus. What do you think viruses do when given enough time & plenty of hosts?

Why the fuck are you arguing with a moron. His argument is this:

I assert you can't eradicate this virus therefore do nothing to prevent the effects because the best and worst cases are no different.

He is a fucking moron. :palm: What gives? Block that stupid West VA bitch.

"Some people will die from speeding no matter what we do so raise the speed limit to 200 mph, no diff than 65." That's his fucking argument!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all virus mutate, variants are what they do.. get a vaxx and quit worrying about if others are vaxxed or not
Cant make this any more simple for you to understand - vaxxes are in the mid 90's efficacy for variants as well
And those that arent vaxxed get acquired immunity - bad for them individually, but good for herd immunity

No logic to your post. If viruses mutate, and we can't predict those mutations - more people not being vaccinated only = more hosts.

If you can't draw logical conclusions from that, there isn't much I can do.

99.2 percent of new cases are those who are unvaxxed. The potential for a pandemic revival exists because of anti science rightys.

You are a stupid loser and nothing you say matters.

How many times was the highest paid bureaucrat in the country wrong on Covid? How many times was he wrong on policy? How much of our tax dollars did he funnel to his buddy that was over EcoHealth Alliance, that went on to fund gain of function research on Covid viruses in the Wuhan virology lab? Maybe someone should ask him. And your issue is with a random debate board user.

Get with the program.

yes because kids dont need a vaxx, and there are reports of heart damages for vaxxed kids

CDC to discuss reports of heart inflammation in young people after COVID vaccines
https://abc7chicago.com/myocarditis...accine-cdc-emergency-meeting-pfizer/10780297/
CDC says 226 confirmed cases of the condition, called myocarditis, have been reported in people under 30 who received the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

even with vaxx (because you cant vaxx everyone) variants happen

The cult of personality built around him was clearly more important to him than the money.

However, Fauci is a great window into the corruption and incompetence of power today.

America is going down...HARD.

My issue isn't w/ you. It's with Fox, talk radio & all the rest on the right who have made it a game to oppose every common sense measure and remedy to a pandemic that has disrupted and devastated so many lives.

It's frustrating. We have a vaccine that works - and the right has made it political. Like they do w/ everything else.

And because of that, there is a vague threat looming out there that our virus friend could luck upon a mutation that makes the 1st round look like a sniffle.
