Um, no - it hasn't "left the station." If there wasn't a ton of misinformation out there, maybe we could achieve herd immunity. Maybe our mutating virus friend would NOT have so many willing hosts.
Have you seen the map of vaccination rates? It's embarrassing. The only states at or approaching 70% are blue states. The only thing the right has done from the start is sow confusion and spread misinformation. And the right is STILL doing it.

Yeah, the three weeks to flatten the curve and millions of Americans projected dead was real factual. Spare me.
Mixing died with Covid in with died from Covid, nifty way to get some big election year numbers but factual or scientific, not so much. Lockdowns work except when they don’t, not so much factual. On and on.
You either have faith in the vaccines or you don’t. Take it, get on with your life and leave the rest of us alone.
We don’t care about anyone in any state who isn’t vaccinated, so long as, they aren’t part of the vulnerable population. I suspect you chart doesn’t reflect that. Get back with me if it does.
The reason we don’t care about the non-vulnerable population is because by far the greater probability is that this population will get the bug, recover, and then become immune to further infection. Immunity is immunity. Also, there’s this wonderful invention called ‘treatments’. Ivermectin is a good one. Put it altogether, cases may rise [we don’t care] but as long as the hospitals aren’t overwhelmed—we don’t care.
We go on. We keep our businesses and our schools open so we can decrease the suicide rate in teens. How about we start thinking about kids for a change?

In no way would I ever support mandating a vaccine - but again, there has been so much misinformation on it. I find it astounding how you downplay the threat of COVID, but somehow vaccines are some crazy bogeyman where the %'s of something bad happening are much higher.

If you can't draw logical conclusions from that, there isn't much I can do.
99.2 percent of new cases are those who are unvaxxed. The potential for a pandemic revival exists because of anti science rightys.

My issue isn't w/ you. It's with Fox, talk radio & all the rest on the right who have made it a game to oppose every common sense measure and remedy to a pandemic that has disrupted and devastated so many lives.
It's frustrating. We have a vaccine that works - and the right has made it political. Like they do w/ everything else.
And because of that, there is a vague threat looming out there that our virus friend could luck upon a mutation that makes the 1st round look like a sniffle.
