Turbo-libs gone wild on healthcare

I have to agree with her. How much did Jesus charge people to heal them?
How much did the good Samaratan charge the beaten up guy?

We have pushed the capitalistic aspect of health care to the extreme.

I agree that health care provider should make a reasonable living.
But it is not just health care providers, it is drug companies, insurance companies, mega corporations, etc.

Healthcare is a basic human right.

Turbo-capitalists believe that everything is for profit.

If they could charge you for air, they would do it.

Apart from earning a living as a doctor, the insurance companies earning huge profits at the expense of people's health is most definitely immoral.

What is reasonable and who gets to decide? Looks like you want to drive them out of the country.

the first thing needed is an informed consumer. A way of rating DR's and providers and displaying that info for the consumers to decide if they want that Dr. or not.

Ie how long practicing. How many of what procedures and the success rate.

Drug companies should not be allowed to seel the drug from the same factory for $10 in the USA and $1 in another country.

Insurance should be portable. Now if you lose your ins and go to another company there is that pesky pre existing conditiion issue.

Dr's should not be allowed to direct customers to another business they have a finiancial interest in.

8 years in HS and you still did not learn economics?

Willfully ignorant neocon parrots NEVER learn.....they consistently vote against their own best interest.

When HMO's became the status quo.....you had people who had decent jobs DIE because an HMO bean counter decided that a medication or operation did not fall under coverage. Doctors weren't making the calls, ACCOUNTANTS were.

And here's the kicker....the same jokers who wail against single payer options for people are the same ones who scream bloody murder that emergency service costs are off the charts. Maybe they should stop and THINK....since people can't afford a doctor visit and/or the perscribed pharma's afterwards, emergency medical services are the only options.

One of the major reasons for personal bankruptcy in America are MEDICAL COSTS. People who ardently defends the status quos essentially advocate a survival of the fittest...that is until they lose their jobs and their insurance runs out. ;)

Now we spend about 1 in 5 dollars on health care. In about 10 years it will be 2 or 3 in 5.
this rate cannot continue, it endangers our nation.

We can find out about Doctors now. That's nothing new.

Not all insurance companies have the pre-existing conditions.

Nothing wrong with Doctors referring patients if they disclose their financial interests in another business.

Why don't you find out why other countries get drugs cheaper?

Tell us how.

Not all insurance companies have the pre-existing conditions.
The only ones I know about is if you join a group policy with an employer.

Nothing wrong with Doctors referring patients if they disclose their financial interests in another business.
Do they give you an alternate choice?

Why don't you find out why other countries get drugs cheaper?[/QUOTE]
Why don't you. The Drug companies said it was what the market would bear. In other words rip us off for as much as they can. And also the taxpayers thru medicare and medicaid.

Liberals don't believe in Him, so its a non-issue.

One can believe in the humanitarian teachings of Jesus and not belileve he is god.
He taught people to be good and kind to each other.

I do not worship or think Obama is god either. But I do believe he is an improvement over our last president.
I have not agreed with everything he has done by any means and do not expect too much from him since he is after all a politician and I have a pretty low opinion of that species.
His biggest mistake will be trying to remain popular which will not let him make some of the hard choices he will be required to make which will be best for my country in the long term.

Politics sucks and those in it all suck to some degree. A few should be hung on the green.

Best for the country? You mean best for bankers and ceos? Apparently those individuals are more crucial to the collective than lowly people who actually do stuff. Obama's got their backs.
