U.S. says 'pipe bomb' found in home of ex-cop charged in Capitol attack

and if I ever come across those, i'll make it happen by doing it myself. YOU, however, will sit back like a cowardly little liberal and demand government execute those you hate

Dude, you are those. You support them. They are the ones who went to the Insurrection while you stayed home.

If you were who you claimed to be, you would have stood with the police to stop the Insurrectionists - the people who wanted to murder members of Congress, overturn an election and shred our Constitution.

If you work for any large org, including cops, you do a lot of things that aren't your choice, like going to the doctor for a scratch.
Policies and procedures. Just tells me SmarterthanYou has never had a real job.

That's why the old and new testaments don't work together. They both overshoot their marks IMO. Mean god's original prohibited list is dumb, and new Coke's version is a bit too forgiving.

The OT and the NT are like mixing Judaism and Buddhism.

My mom was a devout Xtian and Sunday school teacher as well. She explained it this way: If you follow Jesus, then you will also follow His teachings. We're human and we make mistakes so when we do we are supposed to ask for forgiveness and resolve never to do that again. To repeat the same mistakes/sins over and over is to slap Him in the face. She always stopped short of saying "then you're not a real Christian" because that's judging, and judging is to be left up to the Lord.

So yep, when I see someone repeatedly doing something that is sinful and showing no remorse, while calling himself a Christian, I'm pretty sure that he doesn't know what that means, really.

Yes that's the version they taught me in Sunday School. Sunday school, yes it was once a thing.

ROFL, you still have to maintain that delusion in your head? the cognitive dissonance runs strong in you

hey, whatever you need to do, snowflake, to maintain your tiny piece of sanity

Agreed about following procedure. It's already been testified to before Congress that DCPD members stayed to help even though injured. They were vastly outnumbered and eventually overrun.

That is very unlikely to happen again. I do hope the Qless try something. The results won't be the same next time.

As for the militias (different from Qanon even though some are both), they are more organized. Considering their betrayal by Trump, I'm not so sure they'll remain focused on attacking government over retaliation against their betrayer.

You're free to say whatever fantasies you like from the keyboard, but you and I both know that results count.

You and I had a very clear discussion last December about your belief that killing Americans, as McVeigh did, is purely collateral damage. You support the militias. You told me I would soon see I was wrong, a hint that turned out to be 1/6. Obviously you were aware of what was going to happen on 1/6 from your Parler friends. A point I made a meme about. LOL

That fact remains you want to take down the US government but won't leave your house to do it. I support the US government and, aside from voting, feel there is no need for action on my part since I have full trust and confidence in the member of the United States military, FBI, CIA and other agencies where the members take an oath to defend the Constitution.

I very much hope Trump is stupid enough to stoke the next fire. Nobody will cut him slack for a redo. At least I hope.

apt, as far as I know. Which religion is the most stoic? I wanna join that one. And don't say stoicism, I'l slap you silly.

Stoicism. :) Ok, Zen. Zen is about living in the here and now. Living in the moment as Stoicism does. A way of life to avoid the negative influences of emotion on man's ability to reason.

Given that the NT has been heavily edited 300 years after the fact in order to present a "view", the actual words of Jesus are very enlightening. It was fucking Paul, who wasn't even an Apostle, and other assholes who twisted those words into oppressive dogma.

The Stoics did, in fact, hold that emotions like fear or envy (or impassioned sexual attachments, or passionate love of anything whatsoever) either were, or arose from, false judgements and that the sage – a person who had attained moral and intellectual perfection – would not undergo them....

...When considering the doctrines of the Stoics, it is important to remember that they think of philosophy not as an interesting pastime or even a particular body of knowledge, but as a way of life. They define philosophy as a kind of practice or exercise (askêsis) in the expertise concerning what is beneficial (Aetius, 26A). Once we come to know what we and the world around us are really like, and especially the nature of value, we will be utterly transformed.

I do my job 75% and compliance 25%, and the compliance side just grows and grows. Maybe that's why Trump made sure to say "we love you" as a parting gift.

you have as big of a comprehension problem as LV.............but the one thing you idiots DO have in common is your misplaced trust in government.................that certainly qualifies you as a liberal

He is. Two points define a line. He's already had one rally. Let's see what he does in the next one or two plus note the size and demeanor of the attendees. From there a projection can be made.
