Question...
Why would someone who hates America want to participate in the Olympics representing America?

He's biracial (biological mother, white, bio father unknown....)....His parents are white....He’s black
Shut the fuck up
Telling a black person they are NOT BLACK ENOUGH TO MATTER is fucking racism bud
Nor freedom from consequences for that speech. Oops

Three guesses; $, $ or $.
As it is, since Gwen placed third among Americans, like Kap, I think she sees her future in politics and endorsements, not sports.
I'm black. Where's my reparations?
If I'm fired, all I have to do is scream racism....which I actually did once and won. LOL
Then you agree he was fired for his free speech
Right. Lots of people have been fired for the things they have said.
So, what you're saying is she's a mercenary asshole that is willing to take everything she can get from America but isn't willing to do anything for America. I think the US Olympic committee should show her a future where she's unemployed.
Who cares what you failed cult members say?
Agreed which is why if a President, Senator or Representative kept saying bullshit and lies, they can be impeached and/or voted out of office.
Sadly, personal accountability is no longer supported by the Republicans....who only lasted about 5 years longer than the Democrats.
Obviously you care enough to make a reply...
They fired him for being black and standing up for black equality

The problem is who determines what constitutes "bullshit and lies". I think the American people should decide but it seems to me that some politicians took it upon themselves to decide that for the American people. I have little to no respect for those politicians and leads me to think some govt procedures were weaponized.
I'm against politicizing sports regardless of the cause and regardless who does it.
Colin Kaepernick used politics more for personal purposes, but he wasn't the first to politicize sports. Jimmy Carter wasn't the first to politicize sports either, but I firmly believe politics should be left out of sports and those who do it ejected from the field and stripped of any awards.

For the past week, they’ve played the national anthem one time a night at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials.
On Saturday, the song happened to start while outspoken activist Gwen Berry was standing on the podium after receiving her bronze medal in the hammer throw.
While the music played, Berry placed her left hand on her hip and shuffled her feet. She took a quarter turn, so she was facing the stands, not the flag. Toward the end, she plucked up her black T-shirt with the words “Activist Athlete” emblazoned on the front, and draped it over her head.
“I feel like it was a set-up, and they did it on purpose,” Berry said of the timing of the anthem. “I was pissed, to be honest.”

Are you saying to let these assholes determine what is true or not?

While I agree there should be a grassroots element to oversight of our government, I also don't like leaving military decisions to fucking amateurs. It's bad enough to let anti-military dipshits in Congress and the WH do so. Same goes for pandemics or national emergencies. Especially foreseeable ones.
