seems the same company was awarded a contract to remodel a dining hall at the us base in iraq in bagdhad...twice...a day apart

seems that there is no database to keep track of contracts awarded

Do you think it's a coincidence that it was KBR/Halliburton/Cheney that got the contracts? I read they got the second contract after they had completed the job the first time around.
There are some around here who think there's no waste in the military, if there is, it's justifiable, therefore it shouldn't be discussed. God only knows what hasn't been found yet.

Our tax dollars at work. Makes one feel just warm and fuzzy all over, doesn't it?

And no one seems to care about the lobbyist thread...
I guess they are not smart enough to see the linkage.
Thorn saw it and let me know though. :clink:

Where were you reading that?

I forget, somewhere on the net in the past week.
Heck as you say I can't remember everything.
We have more contractors than troops in Iraq.
Has to be pretty demoralizing to the toops. Those contractors making at least 10X what the troop does and playing it safe too.
