Reporters admit dismissing Wuhan lab leak theory in part because Republicans proposed

They have that, along with a penchant for lying. Of course your hypocrisy is over the top. What do our intelligence agencies know about Russian hacking, right? BTW, Pompeo would have no reason to have such knowledge, nor would Cotton.

LOL at you.
Whoa so a sitting member of the Senate Intelligence Committee and the SEC. of State that directly deals with China have no reason to know. Interesting position. Stupid but interesting. :rofl2:

Whining about what? You used Fox News article to gaslight people into thinking some people dismissed the virus because of politics.

I will accept your concession. ;)
Are you drinking again. You just admitted the MSM didn't take the President, the SOS, and a Senator seriously .

I am aware that some people didn't take them seriously. There are reasons for that, ya know. Besides, we were having a major crisis.

Are you drinking again. You just admitted the MSM didn't take the President, the SOS, and a Senator seriously .

I never said anything about the MSM. Try again.

One more time, there is NO evidence anywhere in the entire article that suggests that "they" "dismissed" or "downplayed" the lab leak theory BECAUSE Republicans (read that word again) suggested it.

And no I am not drinking but I am tempted though right now because of the headaches I have to endure trying to have rational discussions with posters here. ;)

Correct. Cotton did not claim to have intelligence, he was speculating. So suggesting there was intelligence to this effect is flat out wrong. It was ALL speculative. Now it is less so. Since the speculation was combined with anti Chinese rhetoric and idiotic suggestions that the virus was manmade, people did not pay attention. Maybe they should have, but consider the the source. An Administration that was AT THE TIME lying about the seriousness of the virus. An administration that had a long history of gaslighting. Liars don't tend to be believed, even when they are telling the truth. That's the problem with lying.

Perhaps you can explain what the "true meaning of that statement" is, supposedly.

I have evidence I was born - I have a birth certificate that is certified by the state that lists the doctor and hospital. I also know my mother.

I don't have your birth certificate. I don't know your mother. Is the fact that I don't have that evidence about your birth proof that you weren't born?
If I refuse to look for evidence that exists confirming your birth does that mean you weren't born? If you present us with a birth certificate and I claim it isn't real does that prove you weren't born? If you introduce me to your mother and I claim she isn't really your mother does that prove you weren't born?

I'm sure this is still way over your head but:
Lack of evidence is not evidence of it not happening.

Yep. The boy who cried wolf.

Which has become a big problem with the media.

The problem with your ‘reasoning’ is that it was speculation either way. It’s no more speculative to say the virus came from a lab than it was to *speculate* about a natural origin.

Which brings us right back to square one: how could so many people in power manage to be so misinformed about it? Or if they were informed, why did they pretend that the lab origin theory was a ‘conspiracy theory’?

Because, Trump. And because our own government and tax dollars may be implicated in the origin of the CCP Virus.

Boom.

:palm:

So basically if Trump had said it might have come from a wet market, BOOOOOM! All of sudden they would say it's a conspiracy theory?

Maybe not in that instance since a natural origin isn’t ‘problematic’ but the Trump Always Wrong Reflex is an actual thing. For example, when Trump said vaccines would happen before the end of the year and etc.

Do you ever wonder where the "reflex" came from?

I can’t get into their brains lol.

Since the other poster allegedly can’t see me why don’t you take a stab at the questions?

When a guy lies or exaggerates things to you so many times, what would your "reflex" be when he actually tells you the truth?

Is this the question?

Darth: 'Makes more sense to speculate about one possible cause than the other.'

How about no need to speculate at all, because it DOESN'T MAKE ANY FUCKING DIFFERENCE in the middle of a pandemic.

And this folks is why I blocked his dumb fucking ass.

Lack of evidence is not evidence of it not happening.
It's been months and you still haven't been able to figure out the true meaning of that statement. It's not a surprise considering your inability to understand even simple concepts so a complex concept is well beyond your understanding.
Lack of evidence is not evidence of it not happening.
And you still don't get it. I knew you wouldn't.
.

Poor Pied Piper.

Why so sad, Piper? Couldn't get all of them?

Reporters admit dismissing Wuhan lab leak theory in part because Republicans proposed it

Journalists continued to acknowledge Sunday that the media's longstanding dismissal of the Wuhan "lab-leak" theory was in part due to Republicans pitching it.

Once widely cast aside as a racist "conspiracy theory" and "fringe" nonsense, the possibility that the coronavirus accidentally leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology has gained increasing credence in recent weeks. The saga has led to yet another reckoning for mainstream media journalists about groupthink and bias in the industry. Faced with criticism that they blasted the theory last year for political reasons, some reporters have admitted its Republican origins with figures like Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., former President Donald Trump, and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo played into why they disparaged it.

====================================================================

The the asshole MSM wrote off a lab origin of COVID as a conspiracy theory because it did not match their narrative. Tell me why we should trust anything they say? They say no election fraud because it does not match their narrative. These people have already proved they are willing to lie to us to craft a narrative. I think and forensic investigation into the origin of COVID and into the election is needed.

It is yet one more indication of the bankrupt morality of the Dems and one more reason to cite when saying that Democrat Party politics are bad for America if you value the truth, fair play and what's best for America.
