And if the services are over at 11 am? Why make it harder? Can you explain why -- knowing that before noon is when the Souls to the Polls folks usually go vote -- the (R)s would want to make it later? Discourage them, maybe? I would think that a true patriot would WANT citizens to exercise their precious right to vote, not do everything possible to make it harder.

The higher % of population that votes, the worse the GOP does. The GOP knows this. Since motor-voter, they have opposed every effort to get more people to vote, and supported more measures to restrict voting.

The bill did not pass. Democrats walked out and prevented the quorum required for voting.

The session ended at midnight. There might be a special session dealing with redistricting and the governor can include the voting bill for consideration in the special session.

How about people just follow the new voting hours. Some dumb assholes want early voting to go on months before an election and others think mail-in ballots are ok. Can you imagine the stupidity of such a thing?
