Tell me that you talk about cunts, spics, kikes and niggers with your pastor when chatting over cookies and milk following your church service every Sunday. I'm guessing you don't because you know it's wrong, hateful and against Christian principles.
 
I admit that the word "cunt" is hardly fetching, but I'm curious about how it became as toxic as it is.

I say this comparing it to the word "prick" which is used on over-the-air television.

A guy will call his best friend a prick and it gets laughed off.

Cunt, not so much.

Was the disparity between the two words always this great, or is this a more recent phenomenon?

FWIW, I think even he realized that it was a mistake. I was flying in California then for the Marine Corps. ATC virtually shut down at times. Military controllers were pushed to fill in.

Consider that the firing of PATCO controllers was across a wide spectrum of ages. Most of the military controllers and, a few months later, new controllers were younger. 20 years later, this bubble of "young controllers" aged out for retirement creating a huge gap to replace them.

I don't know about nationally, but locally, in Missouri, they killed off unions by allowing the companies to hire scabs -- and then keep them -- when workers went on strike. One of our neighbors worked in a plant that made refrigeration equipment. For that time (late 80s), it was a good middle-class job with good benefits. He made enough to support his wife and two sons (one was my younger son's best friend) w/o her having to work too. When their contract came up and negotiations failed, they went on strike. The company promptly hired scabs for a lot less, and refused to negotiate. In the end, the only strikers hired back had to agree to accept the reduced benefits and pay. Our neighbor did so, but the cut was bad enough that his wife had to get a job too.

Reichwingers hate unions, yet bemoan the "good old days" when one paycheck was enough. If they truly wanted those times to return, they'd promote policies that would help.

three of those words I have never used with anyone......and I only use the word "cunt" with those who do things that merit it.......such as using similar terms in place of my name......or lie about me........

Good question. I don't really know. It doesn't bother me in the least. It shows the desperation of impotent eunuchs like PiMP and his equally-flaccid brother Primadonna when they haul it out and fling it around like clowns tossing candy in a parade.

BTW, the only person I've called a cunt here on JPP is Toxic, who deserves the title. As for PiMP's assertion that he only uses it when someone calls him "PiMP," he used it frequently and w/o provocation on another group we were on, and that's why he was expelled from it, and why he's carried a grudge ever since.

one person refused to work unless they are paid more money so they go on strike........other people ARE willing to work for the amount of money being offered so they take the job........why are those people "scabs" instead of being working class people willing to work?.......

Yes, the Right-to-work movement was another management-driven nail in the coffin of American workers.

Note that "back in the day", it was rare that company owners made more than 40 times their average workers. Now it's over 400 times...and the wages of workers have stagnated until overcome by inflation.

And that's the problem. The QOP pays lip service to the American worker, but wants to do exactly zero that actually will benefit them. I am hoping that Biden, with his working class origins, will do more to represent them, as the (D)s haven't done much of that either.
