Much of the punkass whining I'm hearing from people like you these days reminds me of talks with my father who told me of the punkass whining of white men in his days. They had to create "Negro Leagues" to have outlets to play.

I remember sitting with my father and two brothers as we watched the 1966 NCAA Basketball Championship that pitted an all-white Kentucky against an all-black team from a small school in Texas, Texas-Western.

America learned the lessons of that bullshit that day in 1966. Texas-Western taught it to America .. and American sports have not been the same since.

Well, I wouldn't expect you to assume (1) that minority women that grow up in the projects in the Bronx are afforded more opportunities to succeed as a general principle than white men or (2) that any minority woman that goes on to succeed in life did so only because of the opportunities afforded to her based on her privileged status as a poor minority woman.

But, here we are . . .

And based on (1) and (2) above, I think it is very very safe to assume that you are not terribly smart. And based on the fact that Sotomayor graduated summa cum laude from Princeton and was editor of the Yale law journal she is very very smart. Hence, I infer that she is definitely, without question, much smarter than you.

If you had anything like those grades .. let me simplify this for you .. had I had anything like her grades I wouldn't be pecking away at keyboards trying to maintain, backup, and recover systems on-line.

But I like pecking away at keyboards maintaining systems on-line and I like the position I've put myself in with Atlanta politics.

In other words, I like me.

I worked my way through college, never had a scholorship. Nobody's fault but my own. I had good grades but scholorships were few and far between for black students in the 60's and 70's .. but some were available .. so the fault was mine, nobody else's. Had I had even better grades I might have gotten one.

Anything I did not accomplish has nothing to do with white men, hispanics, illegals, terrorists, Martians, or God.

Perhaps you should take a long look in the mirror to find out why you didn't get a scholorship. You won't find that answer looking out the window.
