Should Two- and Four-Year Degrees Be Free?

How does a disadvantaged student get a student loan in the first place? Especially for something like a major in, say, psychology. The government should pay off my truck. It would be a much better ROI, and I’d have a lot more disposable income.

Always with those types of majors. Why?

Clearly either you never went to college, or you have never known a psychology major.

The United States needs more than just electrical engineers and computer programmers.

Psychology majors become social workers, mental health counselors, substance abuse counselor, et al. We need those too.

No, psychology majors sit around smoking pot saying, "Wow, like humans are weird, right?!" All they do.

That's harsh.

Psychologists have their place academically, but psychiatrists are who you actually need to see if your want help.

They write strong prescriptions which, as opposed to meandering discussions, are the real world solution to mental stress.

Better living through chemistry, my friend.

the vast majority of human problems are worked out in therapy, not by drugs. Not empirical, just my opinion.

But not very badly, which is a good description of most of what they accomplish...
