I’m not a Covid vaccine pusher or denier—I’m a vaccine realist. Absolutely, there’s a population that should take it. The ‘farther away’ you are from that population the more it becomes a trickier question. I’m sure that’s why there’s vaccine resistance in the military. And guess what? I’ve seen vaccine resistance as high as 30% in the healthcare community.

But Team Covid has to get all sanctimonious with it by trying to lay a guilt complex on the vaccine hesitant. If they want to be vaccinated—go for it. Once they are vaccinated *they no longer need to worry about the unvaccinated* so leave them the hell alone.

The thing about herd immunity is that it means that an outbreak cannot be sustained, not that an outbreak cannot happen. Lets say you are in close contact with an Alt Right loser. Even if vaccinated, you could get the disease from them, and die. You could even transmit the disease to other sane, vaccinated people, and they could die. But it will not go far in the sane community, and will not kill many.

Vaccination helps prevent death among the vaccinated, but does better when the whole community is vaccinated, so that there is a larger herd community. The best is when we can do such a good job of vaccination that the disease is eradicated.

For health reasons, keep far away from unvaccinated people. They will become easy to identify based on their red MAGA hats.

Different definitions of this demographic have been proposed, like uneducated, white, rural males, but the greatest correlation is core trump supporters. If it were not politically unacceptable, the medical community would define trump as a disease.

What are trump supporters dying of? Drug abuse, over eating, suicide, homicide, accidental killings, alcoholism, car accidents, increased smoking, etc. They are literally dying from bad decisions.

When anyone tries to help them make better decisions, they lash out at the person who tries to help them. How dare we try to tell them to stop bringing down themselves and America.
