If America is not a racist country, then why does Nimrata Randhawa go by Nikki Haley?

Since America is racist that obviously makes you a racist also. Take some blame for your own racism rather than spending your days accusing others.

You are a great example of liberal guilt blaming other Americans for perceived evils but absolving yourself of any such characteristics.

That guilt shows by characterizing the U. S. for prejudice and bigotry found everywhere in the world based on race, ethnicity, religion, tribe, nationality, skin tone............

Very well said Flash. I'm also fascinated by the people who say there are no racist Democrats. Because someone votes for a particular political party they are somehow immune from having biases and prejudices most everyone else in the world has.

And ITT this thread there was a claim that Haley wouldn't use her middle name if she lived in California because we are so diverse here. As if California doesn't have massive problems of its own with racial issues.

But your second sentence was so spot on.

I'm trying to fight the very racism that you exhibited on this thread when you said that "Nimrata" was "difficult to pronounce or remember".

Maybe for you, because you're a racist.

You are trying to fight it by proclaiming others racist implying you are innocent of such bigotry. You are not winning your fight.

Is Raja Krishnamoorthi or Nicole Malliotakis easy to pronounce? Yet, they were elected by racist Americas without changing their names and tricking anyone.

This is probably the most stupid thread I have read on this board. I will stir the pot though. If America is that racist why did Barak Obama stop calling himself Barry?

I'm also fascinated by the people who say there are no racist Democrats

Total straw man argument here because I never said that there weren't Democrats who were racist.

What I said was that America is a racist country, and that you and Flash are racist people...and you proved you were racist people on this thread when you tried to Flashsplain why "Nimrata" is not American-sounding enough for you.

Because someone votes for a particular political party they are somehow immune from having biases and prejudices most everyone else in the world has.

So more laziness from cawacko here that is entirely self-serving. I never said that there were no racist Democrats. What I said, that you clearly read but obviously couldn't comprehend, was that America is a racist country, and that you and Flash are both racists yourselves.

How you got this bullshit from that, I'll never know...I think it's because I got under your skin and all you could do was be a sophist and argue in bad faith.

But I don't expect much out of you, so I'm not surprised by the laziness and entitlement.

VAnd ITT this thread there was a claim that Haley wouldn't use her middle name if she lived in California because we are so diverse here. As if California doesn't have massive problems of its own with racial issues

Where are you getting this from? Because I never said that.

You are functionally illiterate.

You are trying to fight it by proclaiming others racist implying you are innocent of such bigotry.

You're the one making that implication Flash, and the only reason you're doing it is because your racism is uncontrollable and overt.

You got caught being racist on this thread, and your BoThSiDeS compulsion forces you to erect straw men around the person who called your fucking putrid racism out.

You haven't even apologized for being a fucking racist pig. I guess you think it's OK.

Is Raja Krishnamoorthi or Nicole Malliotakis easy to pronounce? Yet, they were elected by racist Americas without changing their names and tricking anyone.

Again, I didn't say all Americans were racist...I said America is a racist country.

You seem to think that American people = America. But that's not true.

So you're using tortured leaps of rhetoric to try and equate your overt racism with racism you imagine or infer from me.

So Flash, tell me, how am I a racist? Because I'm not the one who said "Nimrata" was "too difficult for English speakers to pronounce or remember".

All you can do is make impotent inferences because you can't come to terms with your own overt and inherent racism.

Which one of us said a racist thing on this thread, Flash?

Which one of us said the name "Nimrata" was too difficult for English speakers to pronounce or remember?

Cuz it wasn't me who said that shit.

Who was it again? Oh right, you.

The same guy who is convinced that his (fake) Asian wife is being truthful with him when she says she doesn't experience systemic racism and bigotry.

Many younger children have nicknames because their real name is more difficult to pronounce. That name does not have to belong to someone of a different race, so using that as a measure of racism is lame. Sometimes it has nothing to do with the difficulty of pronunciation but because the name is longer or more formal.

I never said my wife was Asian (more lies on your part) and I said she has experienced more prejudice and bigotry than you will ever see. I never said she has not experienced racism--more made up crap on your part because it fits your arguments.

Again, you are spending your time blaming others rather than working to cure your own bigotry.

This is probably the most stupid thread I have read on this board. I will stir the pot though. If America is that racist why did Barak Obama stop calling himself Barry?

Kill yourself.

Oh that's right, you put me on Ignore because the words I write upset you so much that you can't even see them without spinning out of control.

Many younger children have nicknames because their real name is more difficult to pronounce.

They're not difficult to pronounce, you're just a racist.

That name does not have to belong to someone of a different race, so using that as a measure of racism is lame.

Yet, Nikki does...so here's the thing, Flash...you would have an argument if "Nikki" was the name she went by since birth, but it's not. According to the sources YOUR FRIENDS POSTED HERE, she started going by "Nikki" "at an early age"...most likely around kindergarten and the reason you gave was precisely the racist reason I've been arguing this whole time.

So you and I actually believe the same thing...that she chose to go by Nikki because Americans are too racist to be able to pronounce the name "Nimrata", which is phonetic.

So I guess in order to prove your thesis, you'll need to explain how a phonetic name like "Nimrata" could be mispronounced unintentionally?

Because I'm sure you have no problem reading or pronouncing the name Sioban.

So, when the time comes for taking control of South Carolina and imposing your favorite ideology on it, you will just say, "No thanks"?

Nope. I believe you all will take every bit of America that you can.

Never said anything about taking control of South Carolina.

The fact is, the only ones on this thread mocking and denigrating Ms Haley's first name are conservatives.

I think the name Nimrata is very cool.

Prejudice against Indians is deep seated and old, say people of Indian origin in the US

During his entire kindergarten year in Mobile, Alabama, Raj Mankad, a second generation Indian immigrant, was called “stinky” and nobody touched him. For most of his childhood, he was the only person of colour in his class and faced ongoing violence, mostly verbal. He was occasionally called the N word. Sometimes, he was told he’d go to hell by some cruel people, other times by people genuinely concerned for his eternal soul.

Sometimes it has nothing to do with the difficulty of pronunciation but because the name is longer or more formal.

"Nimrata" is only two letters longer than "Nikki", and one more syllable...but unlike "Nikki", "Nimrata" doesn't contain any silent letters. So it's actually EASIER to pronounce Nimrata than it is to pronounce Nikki, if reading is that difficult for you.

I never said my wife was Asian (more lies on your part) and I said she has experienced more prejudice and bigotry than you will ever see.

Ah right...one of these vague Flash claims that will never be sourced, but somehow lend credibility to your argument. LOL.

Again, you are spending your time blaming others rather than working to cure your own bigotry.

You're the one who was racist on this thread, Flash.

Stop trying to turn your pathetic, overt racism on me.

Your bigotry is right on display on this thread when you denigrate the name "Nimrata" because apparently, you can't pronounce it?

Like, you can't read that?

Let me ask you a serious question: Is English your first language?

The fact is, the only ones on this thread mocking and denigrating Ms Haley's first name are conservatives.

Exactly.

Conservatives compared it to "nimrod".

Flash and Cawacko said it's too difficult for them to pronounce and remember.

All they've done is prove the thesis in the OP.

I never said anything racist. That is your liberal attempt to blame others and your intense bitterness and hostility. Saying a foreign name is hard to pronounce has nothing to do with race. Some American names are hard to pronounce.

Your hatred for yourself is projected on others.

Exactly.

Conservatives compared it to "nimrod".

Flash and Cawacko said it's too difficult for them to pronounce and remember.

There is nothing remotely difficult about pronouncing her first name.

I never denigrated Nimrata. I said for a kid (which is when she started using Nikki) it is harder to pronounce or remember. You are obviously unfamiliar with young children. You were denigrating Nikki Haley by suggesting she was trying to "trick" voters. By the time she ran for governor I'm sure most people in S.C. knew she was a woman of Indian heritage.

Or, maybe she used Nikki because it is on her birth certificate.
