Idaho wants to make it illegal for schools to teach students how to think critically

Schools are meant to expose ideas for consideration, not promote them.

Perhaps not elementary school. Elementary school is for teaching communication and basic math, essentially.

In middle school, though, social studies begin to go wrong already.
Some of the propaganda bullshit that they taught us during the Cold Aar was outrageous.
Those were the days of McCarthyism and the House Un-American Activities Committee.

This is the sort of thing that makes college so important and also so feared by the Reactionary Christian Right.
Here, decent schools, at least, actually perform their function--expose, not promote.

Obama was going to give American companies tax breaks for return their operations to the US.
