8.5 billion dollars of taxpayer money gone

Chrysler will not be paying us back. How many other companies who received billions upon billions of our money will see this and follow suit?

Will Bush, Obama, and the reps and dems in congress take responsibility for their fiscal failures in telling us that these industries were 'too big to fail'?

somehow, i seriously doubt it.

who all here are going to start being the apologists for the shysters in congress?

These fuckers and their friends are looting the public coffer with reckless abandon.

They make money for themselves, everyone else gets put on the hook for it.

I'm putting all my money in pitchforks.

democrats don't get business,
STY Bush opened the door wide with the bank bailouts/handouts.
Demo's would never have had the balls to bail out detroit/unions.

well, you'll notice that I included Bush and the republicans as the failures of economic market theory.

Thousands of American jobs, and billions of future tax reciepts and hundreds of billions of future American wages saved.
Saved? They are going into bankruptcy, just as they would have without the cash to begin with. It's retarded to pretend that anything was saved by throwing good money after bad in this manner. By now the terms of bankruptcy would be known, and the companies would be on a path out of it, contracts would have been renegotiated, and a leaner, more competitive company would have emerged.

If Chrysler went through the standard bankruptcy process it would have been liquidated, not re-organized.

What's going on with Chrysler isn't going to be shit compared to whats already happened with JPMorgan and WaMu.

Yeah, because you are psychic and stuffs...

It could have been one option, just as it can now. All they've proven is they can take billions and make a record shortfall.
