I wish I had more education, but I have enough to make a good living. Actually, a PHD does not add much to your earning potential, being that the jobs that it opens up do not pay more than a masters degree. But it does open up more interesting jobs, so I regret not going for it.
It has been made clear I can always go back and get the PHD. I think I will when my kids get out of school. My "retirement" might be getting a PHD, and teaching at a university.
