I know a FBI agent that shot and killed a bank robber in Dallas. The bank robber was cornered by police and pulled a handgun and aimed it a a cop. The FBI then shot and killed the bank robber. Turns out the bank robber was armed with a realist looking pellet gun. My friend still feels bad but he says if it had been real and he had pause a Dallas police officer might be dead.

Basically if you aim something that looks like a weapon at a police officer you are probably going to get shot.

You can't understand that people have traveled this road before?

There is no training that can remove the need for a cop to make a split second judgment call.

You can train forever but if the thing that looks like a gun isn't treated like a gun, if you can't positively identify it accurately and instantly, you could make your wife a widow.

If you can't tell if that gun-looking thing is a lethal threat or not, you have to shoot or risk being killed.
