Biden to announce full withdrawal of U.S. troops in Afghanistan by Sept. 11.

Trump was grossly incompetent. He was defeated because he was unfit for office, on every level.

But he rocked on the border lol?

What was wrong with the Trump economy before Fauci got ahold of it? First President since Clinton that didn’t start a new war or turn a North African country into a slave trading shit hole.

Maybe we need more incompetence.

Fauci? What position of power did he hold?

Trump failed on the economy. There really isn't any debate on that.

More than happy to debate that.

Was the shutdown done under Trump’s advisement? Or Fauci’s?

Under Trump's leadership.

Also under Trump's leadership: constant downplaying of the virus, lying about its effects and the extent of its spread, creating debates about masks and distancing, sending contradictory signals from day to day, sowing confusion about everything related to the virus, never taking a lead role in explaining the best precautions for people to take, never setting an example on the best precautions for people to take, and dropping the ball on vaccine distribution & administration when vaccines were ready to go.

You'll always find willing listeners among Trump loyalists - but no one rational thinks Trump handled his 1st and only real crisis well, or in a way that helped stave off damage to the economy. He failed, utterly.

Good debate.

It’s all Trump Trump Trump lol.

Did you see where Europe is struggling with vaccine supply because they didn’t have something like an Operation Warp Speed in place. Remember when Trump was mocked for it? If you’ve gotten the shot you might owe it to Trump?

You’re going to try and convince me Biden would have done that?

Done what? Trump didn't invent a vaccine. The scientific community was awesome.

As far as the basic removal of restrictions & roadblocks - yeah. Any President in history would have done that.

Trump was the worst possible President for a pandemic. Denial just isn't the best route to a solution.

In the spring of 2020, Trump put America at the front of the line for whatever vaccines would ultimately be produced. He had the foresight to contract with not one or two, but six different vaccine companies for a total of 800 million doses. Not all six companies’ vaccines would actually be approved and put into use, but he went for all six, because failure was not an option.

Operation Warp Speed paid firms to manufacture the vaccines before clinical trials proved they were safe and worked. *Companies couldn’t take that risk on their own.* It was a bold strategy, and it worked.

Trump insisted he would have vaccines ready by the end of 2020, a goal naysayers like government virus guru Anthony Fauci said was impossible. Thousands of column inches and many more tweets mocked Trump’s optimism. [emphasis added]

________

Had your vaccine yet?

So biden is following President Trumps plan for the ME?

The questiopn being, will the alt leftie dems screech as loud as they did when Presdent Trump announced he wanted all US troops out of the mid east?

Mitch McConnell is an alt leftie?

go outside and play little boy

Making our troops targets! Wow does he think the day the guy they harbored launched an attack on the US isn't a white flag of Surrender, seriously does he even think! Does he think this will appease the terrorists?

So 20 years of fighting and our soldiers were not targets. But leave and they will suddenly be? I bet you thought that made sense.

Actually it makes a great deal of difference, since Biten has given his commanders a hard deadline. You don't understand that because you lack the mental capacity to strategize.

No, it doesn't. Not to people who can outlast any invading empire through attrition, which is the history of Afghanistan.

I am very happy with this, I have all confidence it will be done in an orderly and responsible way, resulting in much less risk to our people, and the civilians of Afghanistan.

It wont simply be announced on Twitter with no plan, followed by a lot of waffling and unclear direction... then done in a dangerous and irresponsible way.

Of course they have been, however telling the enemy the day you will withdraw by is insane! Sorry you do not see that as fact!

Situations on the ground change!

President Biden has decided to withdraw all American troops from Afghanistan by Sept. 11, 20 years after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon launched the country into its longest war, United States officials said Tuesday.

The decision will keep more than 3,000 American troops on the ground in Afghanistan beyond the May 1 withdrawal deadline announced by the administration of former President Donald J. Trump.

But it signals what Mr. Biden plans to present as a definitive end to America’s “Forever War.”
