Likely the Pentagon's recommendation more than anything.

If Americans were happy w/ Trump and his "plans," they would have re-elected him. Why do people still defend him? He made fun of a disabled guy, and marginalized POW's. He incited a riot. He ripped off his own supporters with a fine-print con.

To whatever extent the 2020 election was a referendum, it was a referendum on Trump *the person*: his style of leadership; use of Twitter and etc.

What the election *wasn’t* was a referendum on Trump’s policy. His border policy was working; he never got us close to a new war; the pre-CCP economy was working for the working class.

But Biden is acting like he’s got this big mandate to fundamentally transform the country and/or overturn everything Trump got done. He’s even trying to take credit for the vaccines. He turned the border into an epic Cluster F for no good reason.
