Every person on this forum knows there are dozens of major Protestant denominations.

It all started with Luther and Calvin, and every single religious scholar on this planet can identify general theological commonalities in Protestant denominations... Otherwise they would not collectively be called Protestants

Luther and Calvin were the most prominent of the Reformationalists but they were not alone.......there were hundreds......the reasons there are so many Protestant churches is because not everyone agreed with Calvin or Luther.....

dude, they are all called Protestants because they all broke off from the RCC in protest.....not because they were following Luther and Calvin........even Calvin didn't follow Luther, they disagreed about almost everything......

/shrugs......its easy to make unprovable claims when you don't give a fuck about the truth........just stop and think a minute......if Luther were that influential, why are there protestant churches that aren't Lutheran?......protestant churches don't draw their doctrines from Luther, they draw them from the Bible.......Calvin's primary doctrine was sola scriptura...

Martin Luther is arguably the most important and influential figure in western civilization of the last thousand years.

His theological and cultural influence reaches far beyond the Lutheran churches to all of world Protestantism. Irrespective of denomination.

If you did not learn that at your seminary school, you should ask for your money back.

to be fair, my law school was Lutheran, my seminary was Calvinist......the seminary certainly didn't teach that all protestant denominations drew their theology from Luther.....(actually neither did the law school)......

but your claim wasn't that Luther was an influential person.....
