Souter to Retire

Actually the great race baiter and ashamed father of a black daughter, Strom Thurmond has the longest filibuster of any single senator, 24 hours and 18 minutes in an unsuccessful attempt to derail the Civil Rights Act of 1957.
Your Thurmond card doesn't beat my pair: Gore Sr. and The Honorable Robert C. "KKK" Byrd. :D

Yeah that other guy was right. You basically are a shit poster.

It's undeniable that Republicans nominate people who are totally unqualified and have no business being on the judiciary. Hariet Myers is the perfect example. Obama will almost certainly nominate someone more than qualified and regardless of who it is the Republicans are guaranteed to filibuster it because that's what they do. It's not applied equally by both parties. Democrats use it responsibly, Republicans do not.

You won't see me defending GOP stupid appointments, nor am I a party hack like you just so nicely demonstrated. :cof1:

Looks like Bush eventually got it right with Alito and Roberts though, huh? :pke:

Time will tell with the shit-fer-brains that Obama's guaranteed to nominate.
