Obama Lies Bigtime on Deficit - A balanced look at the facts

I like how, without even a hint of irony and within a matter of a few paragraphs, the author of thsi "fact check" says that Congress is responsible for the deficits Obama inherited but Obama is responsible for deficits moving forward.

Obama was a senator who voted for spending increases, OBAMA is the one who claimed that he inherited the deficit when in reality the Dems were in power in both senate and the house and voted for huge spending increases.

I mean in Liberal Democrat world if you have a Repub prez, then Liberal Democrats in control of the senate and house can push through as much massive spending as they want and all the blame goes to the prez?

The most important point in all this is that even when Bush was in power the Dems pushed for even LARGER spending than what Bush allowed to pass.

This just proves what I've always said: Repubs bad with spending, Dems worse.

Reduction in government in what areas though. Did you see wht the Chicago School did to South America.
First of all, I think you mean Chile and not South America, as only Chile actually followed (loosely) the Chicago school.
And Chile is actually doing the best in South America with the highest GDP, low unemployment and lowest poverty rate:

Small government, yeah, right...government control is more like it. Reagan actually started the bogger government movement while convincing the public he was going smaller. He was a master communicator!
The bigger government movement was boosted mostly in the 60's and 30's, Reagan certainly increased the defense budget a lot, but unlike social welfare spending, that actually was able to be cut later.

It is the way Pinochet went about it, don't you think. Murdering your educated population is not a good thing. Government controlled it all. Allende nationalized everything, but went about it in the wrong way.
Pinochet fix was no better and it is after all this time that things have turned around once his sucessor and I can't remember the guys name started to control the in and out flow of money into their economy. There was more government control then Friedman would have liked to admit.

Argentinas economy is growing twice as fast as Chile's.

Like communism, neoliberalism simply produces a short bubble and doesn't lead to any sort of serious long-term success.
