Most people could benefit from some counseling. It should be available to them at government expense. Would likely save more than the cost, and we'd have a far better society.

I would also favor some mental health teaching in public schools. People aren't born with morals. They have to be taught what is considerate of others and why people should care.

Agreed on benefit. IMO, screening and treatment should be considered "preventative medicine" and covered by all medical policies, both public and private.

Public schools make requirements of students for the health of all. Mental health should be no different.

I would never support any law which was specifically titled a 'nanny state law.'

But then I don't believe I've ever heard of one, either.
