march 23 2021 The suspect in the horrific supermarket shooting that left 10 dead in Boulder, Colo., was identified by police Tuesday as Ahmad Alissa.

The 21-year-old from Arvada, Colo., is charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder in connection with the Monday afternoon attack at a King Sooper grocery store, Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said at a press conference shortly after 8:30 a.m. local time.

Authorities also identified the victims, who ranged in age from 20 to 65. Denny Strong, 20, Neven Stanisic, 23, Rikki Olds, 25, Tralona Bartkowiak, 49, Suzanne Fountain, 59, Teri Leiker, 51, Kevin Mahoney, 61, Lynn Murray, 62, Jody Waters, 65, and Boulder Police Officer Eric Talley, 51, were each killed in the shooting, police said Tuesday.

A motive for the shooting has not been determined, officials said.

profiling people of islamic faith would be considered racism, which is why democrats refused to entertain amendments to a bill last year that would require background checks on illegal attempting to buy firearms.

A law enforcement press release identified his full name as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa.

A Facebook page appearing to be that of the suspect features posts with quotes from the Islamic Prophet Muhammad.

I doubt that we'll ever know for sure. The narrative will now pivot from "right-wing terrorism" to the "evil black rifle", IMO.

The articles I've read don't say, but several imply the family has lived in Colorado for well over a decade so it's very likely he's a citizen. Being 21 it would be easy for him to purchase a long arm (rifle) just about anywhere in the US.

buying from any FFL, he would have had to undergo a background check by the ATF.............so the law worked as intended.
