There’s always been a weakness in the perverse little demographic scheme: it assumes these disparate groups will stick together and vote democrat 4-ever.

And hence, the move by democrats to federalize election laws. If passed, it will make it difficult for republicans to win a national election. Though it’s going to be a little harder to pull off on the state/congressional level—as evidenced by the 2020 election where Biden won but democrats got slammed just about everywhere else.

I think democrats suspect they will at least lose the House in 2022 and so there’s a sense of urgency with federalizing election laws. IOW, the time is now.

None of this is particularly hard to figure out.

Please explain who making it more easy and acceptable for MORE AMERICANS to vote ... will make it difficult for republicans to win a national election?

Could it be that it's been historically proven that the more people voting means LESS wins for the GOP that's got you nervous? TFB.
