If I was in their face calling some folks a coward because they supposedly didn't believe something they believed, I may expect a negative reaction. The reality is, folks are doing something about it, it just seems quiet right now because nonviolent but effective means of change take time.
I love conversations like this. It's a litmus test for sanity.
It's one thing to have a discussion between opposing sides about how to handle Russia, Iran or the border crisis, but it's a completely different discussion when one person asserts the common truth about an election and a fucking nutjob says, "Ooooh no! Space Aliens/Lizard People/Jews/etc are really controlling our nation!!!!!"

True, some people did become successful before their adult onset mental disorders, but without treatment, they'll lose it all. I do a lot more than just post messages on a board. Im quite politically active. Interesting point....... when you are politically active and have a track record of making political donations you get put on a mailing list so to speak. What happens then,....is every 3 months my phone rings and it instead of showing a number it says Washington DC. I always know what that means,....it is usually early evening around 7 or so, central time. It is the congressman from my district along with my Senator,....Ron Johnson. They call myself and others.....probably somewhere in the neighborhood of around 10 or so constituents and we are all on conference call. We can chime in and ask questions or just sit and listen. I ask questions. When is the last time your senator called you at home personally? Yes......... I do quite a bit more than simply posting on message boards.

I was also VERY involved back in the 2010 tea party movement that delivered the biggest Democratic ass kicking in almost a hundred years. Our action plan back then was called........
