Why is it "under taxing" someone by taxing them at the same rate as anyone else? Isn't it better to let the individual decide what is best for them rather than to have the government do it for them?

Did you really type that? Sure if we let everyone decide their taxes almost all would choose zero. Let someone else pay. That is what the rich decided. The difference is they can get away with it.

I'm not sure how you or he interpreted it that way. Regardless, I'll restate: After being taxed at the same rate as everyone else, isn't it better to let that individual decide how to spend what is left over, instead of having the government decide for them?
