What will mean success for the teaparty turnout?

Ive seen bigger gay pride parades
And I've seen many smaller gay pride parades. Your point is worthless, the gay movement took decades to bring crowds as large as even the first day of the 'Tea Parties'. Forgetting the beginning and the middle to compare the result today with the beginning of a different 'movement' is just preposterous.

Only a hack like you could even try to compare the two.

too funny, i just made a similar comment in her other thread...she acts as if the gay movement was never fringe...she is either a liar or a moron

how may closeted republicans are there?

Being gay is not a choice and being republican is.

The movement is fringe because its drawing samll numbers.

Ther is no Groundswell, there is a small movement.

You will never increase your numbers until you stop the crazy talk and frame your ideas in an adult manner.

Dont goad on the nutbags, try and appeal to peoples brains with alternative approaches to what you claim you dont like.

Please , please stop the "wer'e going to kill you " crap.

are you going to be honest for once and admit the gay movement was very fringe at first....or are you going to be your normal stupid hack self and talk about gay republicans as if that makes your point valid

let's see some honesty for once evince

how may closeted republicans are there? Its their business, not yours

Being gay is not a choice and being republican is. Pointless. There are more important things about a person than their sexuality, btw

The movement is fringe because its drawing samll numbers. I dunno what samll numbers are, but I'm sure most movements in history started with them

Ther is no Groundswell, there is a small movement.

You will never increase your numbers until you stop the crazy talk and frame your ideas in an adult manner. Yeah, in an adult manner, as opposed to the way you fram your arguments...

Dont goad on the nutbags, try and appeal to peoples brains with alternative approaches to what you claim you dont like. Why don't you make an appeal to intellect, for a change...

Please , please stop the "wer'e going to kill you " crap.

Does all this mean that your 9/11 conspiracies and voter fraud conspiracies have no meaning, seeing as how 99% of the public doesn't believe them...

Damn, Desh owned again. As a football fan an anology used for cornerbacks is you have to have a short memory. If you get beat for a touchdown pass you have to forget it and be confident on the next play/pass thrown your direction.

Obviously getting owned thread after thread doesn't stop her. Even when fellow liberals/Obama voters disagree with her she calls them out as hacks. That is 1) self-confidence I admire 2)naivetie that is very scary

Anyway, I'm an idiot. However excellent points Threedee.

Anyway, to answer Desh's original question of "What would be a success"...

IMO, it will be a success if it continues to grow. One day of protests is not a success even with the many people who did make the effort to show up.

It will be the next ones that will show whether this was a success, if the crowds grow larger each time.

One could say that the tea party took decades to build as well.
How many years have we done this?

I say both crowds and leadership coming forward from the mingling of like-minded people. Truth is, there were conservatives, libertarians, moderate democrats, and low and behold, some people that must always check the 'don't know' box on any survey-many get that the spending and down-the-road taxing will not be sustainable.

The focus around here is turning on the city, county, and state elections on the fall. Then 2010.

Delicious irony. :)

How silly to claim that what the libertarians were pissed about the republicans overshadowing is somehow this cohesive group of people.

The vast majority of Americans realize that Obama is tryihng to fix what you guys broke over the last 8 years.

You carry signs trying to say crazy assed shit about Obama (that have no basis in truth) and then say its this mainstream feeling about taxes?

Try and act like adults.

Report the people in your midst who threaten to kill people.

This is not in any way a time where revolution is needed. You lost an election. Reagan had higher taxes on the 1% then Obama is going to implement. The Scotus has said that gun laws are constitutional. YOU LOST THE ELECTION.

YOU do not legally have the right to kill me because you dont like the outcome of the election.

You are criminals if you keep talking about killing cops because your guy did not win.

That is just what you are talking about when you talk of arming up and fighting.

If you take to the streets with guns to fight this country because you dont like its laws then you are a traitor and NOT a patriot.

Murrah building was the rights fault.

If you cause another one with your infantile lies about what is happening by whipping up the crazies on your side then you are and will be the party of death.

I'm astounded dems didn't join in. Far lefties are intoxicated on their victory and are marching down the same drunken sailor path Bush went on.
I'm saying, fund every turbo-lib project Obama did. But WTF happened to going through line by line and cutting out stuff. How about 50% to start with on the MIC.

Is it because the old dears attending the right-wing events tend to get a little tired in the afternoon and have to wheel themselves home for a refreshing nap?
Well that and they just don't like using porta potties or water fountains when the time comes to "refresh" oneself...

The Scotus has said that gun laws are constitutional.
they are wrong.

YOU do not legally have the right to kill me because you dont like the outcome of the election.
NOBODY has said or threatened to kill someone because they LOST the election and to continue to stick to that idiotic theory makes you look like a raving lunatic.

If you take to the streets with guns to fight this country because you dont like its laws then you are a traitor and NOT a patriot.
blah blah blah.

If you cause another one with your infantile lies about what is happening by whipping up the crazies on your side then you are and will be the party of death.

:gives:
