Let’s be honest about who Rush Limbaugh really was

There’s no point tiptoeing round the legacy of a man known for his racism, misogyny and homophobia

As in the aftermath of any public death, there were immediate calls for “respect” and “civility” as people urged others to consider the thoughts, feelings, and grief of his family. Needless to say, celebrating anyone’s death — including his — would be wildly inappropriate, and his family’s privacy should be recognized.

But it’s also important to talk about who Limbaugh really was. Because the only way to truly pay our respects to the radio host, who reached more than 15 million listeners during his 30-year talk radio career, is to remember exactly who he was and the legacy he left behind— one of divisiveness, cruelty, racism, homophobia, bigotry, and sexism. This was prejudice and callousness that he not only encouraged but reveled in.

The harm Limbaugh caused during his career is vast and difficult to quantify, but it can be seen in nearly every facet of our current political climate. He intentionally harmed marginalized communities. He sowed division with cold-hearted precision. He upheld the tenets of white supremacy, bigotry, and sexism. To pretend otherwise would be cowardly and morally wrong.

Let's be honest about what a piece of shit guno is for bashing a dead guy.

Yet you wanted to murder me for no reason at all. I've asked you several times why and you couldn't prove why I deserved to be shot between the eyes as you threatened. Why?

See?:

Wah, you posted something like a real traitor would and I responded accordingly. Now go fuck yourself.
Right between your eyes, I wouldn't want you to suffer.
I could always suggest a spine shot, asshole!
Would you rather I said shoot you in the backbone, asshole? Know your fucking role, bitch.

Probably the one previous to where I thought you deserve one right between the eyes.
Just duh!
Your post swayed my opinion to that.

You mean you don't know. You want to murder me but you don't know why. Do you realize how insane that is?

Thanks for reiterating that you want to murder me even if you don't know why.

LYING MOTEHRFUCKERS LYING AGAIN.

LIMBAUGH WAS NONE OF THOSE THINGS.

HE WAS ENDLESSLY POLITE, ESPECIALLY TO LEFTIST CALLERS, AND NEVER UTTERED A RACIST OR MISOGYNISITIC WORD IN HIS LIFE.

HE ESPOUSED CLASSIC CONSERVATIVE VALUES.

LIMBAUGH LOVED AMERICA...LEFTISTS HATE AMERICA, AND LIMBAUGH, TOO.

YOU are calling someone else a piece of shit, you stinking great turd? Piss off back up your Creek! Amazing that America is still big enough to bear the smell of these dead trumpers who won't lie down!

A 2019 interview with Bo Snerdley, the producer for the last 30 years of the Rush Limbaugh show.

And, today.....

"God Bless you Rush. I love you. Always and ever," said Bo Snerdley, aka James Golden, Limbaugh's longtime call screener, producer, and program engineer.

Wow, so all the usual race hustlers are here and I doubt that even one knew that his producer is black!

One is from when Nixon was President and the other is from the Eisenhower era.

He got them both really cheap at garage sales.

Is he a hoarder? A lot of elderly people living alone are hoarders to some extent.

Lol he got exactly what he needed from you people. Rush was always very clear that his only job was to keep you listening as long as possible. It seems he did pretty good at that as he was on the air for over 30 years.
