What will mean success for the teaparty turnout?

How many will it take to show it was a success?

Who gives a shit? I mean, it's funny and all, but I'm growing tired of the Tea Party nonsense. Is today the end of it?

I do, however, find it really fucking funny that the DC Tea Party folks forgot to include the fact that they wanted to dump 1 million tea bags in Lafayette Park on their permit and thus had to dump them in the 12th floor conference room of some wingnut think tank.

They already have people such as yourself talking quite a bit about it. That in itself is a form of success.

Yes. Yes it is. Much the same way that the early American Idol contestants that are laughed at by the judges and America are successful.

permit? fucking idiots. did they get a permit for the first one? they should have just done it and challenged the secret service on it. what are they gonna do? shoot 2,000 people?

Actually, it was the National Park Service. And no, they wouldn't have shot anyone but I assume they would have levied some hefty fines.

To those who share you political beliefs today is probably considered a joyous day, a time for celebration, so yes those tea party folks make for excellent mocking.

For what I am thankful is the majority paying taxes is a necessity to live in our (mostly) civilized country but it doesn't mean folks must blindly give all the government asks without questioning its usage etc.

You won't catch me at a tea party unless they are giving away Jack Daniels but bless'em for bringing hype to this issue.

You obviously haven't heard about the top secret 200 gallon teapot stored at Roswell that they were just itching to try out on a such a crowd.

They had a lucky escape if you ask me.

I don't know what the hell you are prattling on about. What issue are they bringing "hype" to? What usage are they questioning? It's just a big old hissyfit for Republicans that are upset that they are out of power.

When hundreds of thousands of Americans protested in just one city over the Iraq war the media barely covered it and the right called them fringe.

Do you think any ONE city will get 200,000 like SF did in 2003?

The media barely covered the Iraq War protests? Where were you hiding out during that time period?

Edit: I attended three Iraq War protests in San Francisco. There were freak shows all around that place. You try and claim BAC is out of the mainstream because he is a socialist. The socialist groups had nothing on the Communist groups and literature that was distributed at these events.

Not being the biggest fan of April 15th myself (though believing it to be the proverbial 'necessary evil') I always enjoy prattling on about those who take such pride and joy when forking over that large check to the government.

LOL

She was hiding out in her basement with foil covering all the windows and her tin foil hat on her head for fear Bush would control her mind with radio waves. :foil:

You really should learn to translate 'protests' into liberal speak.... that way you can understand Desh.

1) When talking about the number of protestors you must automatically triple the true numbers... because well, it just sounds better. (note this only works for 'approved' protests... anything seen as 'rightwing' you simply reduce the number by a factor of 1000.)

2) A 'barely covered protest by the media' is one in which the media paused for a commercial and/or dared to mention anything else in their news coverage.

LOL you saw Communists at the protests?

I am a tad bit surprised that the Communist party is still functioning.

There were very few pictures on the news of these protests.

No where near the coverage that this little stunt is getting
