the point is we have this debt that's coming due from covid and sabre rattling going on, that usually gets us into a new war of choice.

Thinking Iran will not be the next war we will face, Taiwan is in the crosshairs and the Chinese have been preparing for it for years, we just have to decide if we are willing to do it or not, just a matter of time. Personally I would rather not, let the world deal with, and so sorry to the People of Taiwan, but we need to stay out of wars for a while and bring our troops home from the ones we are in, enough is enough.

China would be a righteous war but not one I would want to fight alone. with the concentration camps and thier agression they are a modern day nazi regime. if it wasnt for the cheap labor and breaks we give them...... that said, IRan is seen as an iraq style war we could get into to "save" the economy, and thats what historically we do.
 
Don't underestimate the influence of AIPAC and the Izraeli fascists in Washington. A US tussle with China is of no use to them whatsoever- whereas an American attack on Iran is seen as existential.

I agree, it would be righteous war, but we as a Military need a break, there is only so much we can ask of our men and women in uniform, I know more than one that left simply because they had been deployed so many times, several that were considering it a career. Let the rest of the world deal with this one. True, the save the economy war is far too common but with Iran I do not believe it will happen, either the administration will work a deal with them or get out of the way and let Israel deal with it.

I hope you are right but I am worried IRan is the low hanging fruit.

We can only wait and see, a war with Iran would be over quickly but troops would be stuck there for years and years, a war with China would be violent in the extreme and I am not sure they would not hit the US in one or more ways, they like Russia know all about EMP's, though it would result in a mutual destruction outcome.

Izrael is dependent upon American blood and treasure e.g. Iraq, Libya, Syria. Izrael cannot even defeat its own prisoners of war and it lost in its attempt to expand into Lebanon. Izrael has been threatening Iran for many years and Iran is prepared to defeat it. Netanyahu's only hope is for America to do the fighting. Far, far better for the world to get rid of Netanyahu.

I hope we avoid all future wars of choice, but I know better. at least with a democrat in place the media wont do its best to undermine him and the troops.
