"According to the criminal complaint, a former romantic partner of Williams reported to law enforcement that she was depicted in video footage taken inside the U.S. Capitol building on January 6.

The caller told police that Williams can be seen directing crowds up a staircase inside the U.S. Capitol in this Youtube video. According to the criminal complaint, Williams can be seen at about 20 minutes and 40 seconds in the video, wearing a green t-shirt and brown trench coat while carrying a zebra-print bag over her shoulders.

The tipster also claimed to have spoken to friends of Williams who showed them a video of Williams taking a laptop computer or hard drive from Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office.

According to the caller, Williams had intended to sell the device to a friend in Russia, who then planned to sell the device to SVR, which is Russia's foreign intelligence service."

Not too surprising at all. If you are the kind of dick or cunt who would assault LEOs, and invade your country's Capitol building with a gang of fascist seditionists, chances are that even if you're only 22 like this idiot, you've done other bad shit in your life and made people unhappy with you.

I have no sympathy for their idiocy. They will get what they deserve.

Just to be clear, there's a big difference between someone who followed the mob into the Rotunda and someone who broke into offices looking for secrets to steal and sell to Russia. Riley is going away for a long, long time.

I don't see any difference, frankly. I think the looting and destruction were crimes of opportunity, and if this stupid bint hadn't nabbed the laptop, some other moron would have. Every single one of the terrorists who trespassed should be charged, tried, convicted, and sent to prison.

It's only a matter of time. Women don't typically kill themselves to avoid prison like men do. I expect a lot of the middle-aged, middle-class nutjobs who are facing prison for their part in the Capitol attack will commit suicide.

At a guess, 50% would rather kill themselves than spend the next 10-15 years in Federal prison.

There's a difference of degree. I do believe best justice is served by looking at each case individually, not just blanket one-size-fits-all mandatory sentences.

A requirement will be not wasting the courts time; take a plea deal (including giving up everything they know), allecute in court, complete their sentence and (I expect) long probation.

Sentences will vary based upon actual actions. Following a mob into the Rotunda then leaving is still a crime but it's a much lesser crime than ransacking Congressional offices and screaming "Where the fuck are they???"

Seriously; most of the people who attacked the Capitol were Trump's "poorly educated" nut jobs. Fanatics. People in dire need of a mental health intervention.
