Judge Blocks Charges in Sexting Case

FUCK THE POLICE

911 EVERY DAY
God this was the most retarded thing I've ever heard in my life. That was CLEARLY not what the law was designed for. It needs to be amended immediately, and the people who decided to apply it that way need to be FIRED.

Judge Blocks Charges in Sexting Case

The ACLU of Pennsylvania has scored a big win in the "sexting" case in Pennyslvania.

U.S. District Judge James M. Munley granted a request by the American Civil Liberties Union to temporarily stop Mr. Skumanick from filing felony charges against the three Tunkhannock Area School District students.

The ACLU lawsuit argues that the photographs in which the three teen girls appear are not p*rnographic and should be protected under the First Amendment.
The DA wanted to charge the teenage girls as accomplices to the distribution of child p*rnography for taking each other's pictures at a slumber party and then e-mailing the pix around to friends. More here. ("here" is a link)

nobody pays attention to the 'unintended consequences' of feel good legislation until it affects them directly. what a bunch of schmucks/liberals.

What's the feel good legislation?

feel good legislation is referring to the idea that because someone/group 'feels' that something should be done about this or that activity, so lets make the feds 'regulate' it, then the fucked up legislation gets used in ways it was never intended because the over emotional idiots relied on their government to get something right, which always fails, but they never fucking learn.

This is why liberals should be forced to go through an extra 4 years of high school education before being allowed to be adults.

You mean like child porn legislation?

there is legitimate purpose in child porn legislation. There's total irresponsibility in writing vague legislation intended to attempt to cover all forms of anything involved with it in the hopes that it will never be abused by the government.

legislation that isn't thought out and written to determine exactly whats covered always leads to these unintended consequences.

This has nothing to do with federal legislation.
