Financial Policy Despair

But BAC, you forgot Sarah Palin!! She will save the RNC in 2012.

Then abortions will be illegal, there will be prayer in schools, Creationism will be taught in biology class, homosexuality will be illegal, geology classes will teach that the earth is only 6,000 years old, public libraries will have to have books approved before putting them on the shelves, and.......and....and......there will be less government interference in our lives!

the above is sarcasm

I try to forget that bullshit on purpose brother. :)

Conservatives were a minority in the GOP in the last primary and so McCain got the nomination. Since he was not simply the least favorite GOP choice but despised by Conservatives many refused to vote at all in the general election. Conservatism didn't "implode"; the GOP did. I fully expect a resurgence of the Conservative movement in 2010 and 2012 just like we saw after Carter. *shrug*

Can't blame anyone for dreaming.

McCain got the nomination because no candidate who was percieved to the right had any possibility of winning.

That's not a secret.

You failed to mention any influential right-wing individual that mainstream America cares about.

Truth is there are none.

1. That doesn't make sense.
2. Right now there aren't any with the name recognition and popularity necessary, which is simply one reason that Conservatives are a minority in the GOP and many chose not to participate in the general election. Again, Conservatism didn't "implode" as you stated, the GOP did.

1. That doesn't make sense.

It makes every bit of sense, undenied even by republicans.

Yet you yourself equate GOP success with conservatism.

The conservative base is shrinking .. which makes sense given that it's majority white men, who are a shrinking element in this society.

There are no republicans left in the northeast and even the south is changing with it's demographics.

Obama won in what was once traditional conservative districts.

Unless there's a plan to artificially grow lots of old white men, you're doomed to follow the Whigs into oblivion.

Sure going to miss you. :)

1. Undenied by liberal republicans, sure, but not supported by reality. A better explanation is that the Mickey was the media's darling, just as predicted, right up to the his nomination, and a lot of feeble minded republicans bought the ruse and voted for "Mr. Popularity". Then, again just as predicted, the media turned on Mickey and threw their support onto Obama.
2. Again, your assertion that the results of the general election means that The South has turned away from Conservatism is unfounded. Polling data on other issues, including the gay marriage issue in California, suggest that when Conservative did go to the polls they voted "none of the above" for president.
3. The obvious corruption, irresponsible spending and borrowing, socialization of US business of the Obama Administration, culminating with the hyper-inflation that we are about to experience, will convince many young voters to "flip the bird" at the Democrat Party, just like I did during the Carter Administration.

So conservatives were outmaneuvered by the media and then didn't vote because they were pissed?

And when the GOP wins its a sign that conservative values are winning, but when the GOP fails it has nothing to do with conservatives because they are the minority? Nice way to avoid responsibility.

...and facts and reality and common sense.

Sol's the admitted Sodomite, as well as the man-wife of maineman, so I simply put 2+2 together. *shrug*

Naw, that shit is fantasy.

Only a total buffoon would suggest that there are no gay men on the right .. and only someone who has had the experience or wants to have the experience constantly talks about or even cares where another man's dick has been.

Obviously you can't read. Maybe your dick being in mainmans mouth has distracted you.

Fixated on sodomy? lol

The "conservatives were outmaneuvered by the media" comes from your statement of "A better explanation is that the Mickey was the media's darling, just as predicted, right up to the his nomination, and a lot of feeble minded republicans bought the ruse and voted for "Mr. Popularity". Then, again just as predicted, the media turned on Mickey and threw their support onto Obama".

And you also said "...Conservatives are a minority in the GOP and many chose not to participate in the general election".

So what part of my assessment is off?

BAC, you have to ignore SouthernMan's fixation with sodomy. He considers all oral sex to be deviant behavior. I've had fun with that.
