Trump to serve jail time in GEORGIA for a multitude of attempt counts

This one is problematic IMHO. Of course the other one should have been, but Trump had a spin that at least allowed some cover for Senate Republicans. Congress has been sworn in. The Judiciary committee should meet tomorrow, review the tape, and vote on articles of impeachment. They should be taken up by the full house, and the Senate should be forced to vote again on whether they find solicitation of an election official to rig an election is impeachable. Let's put them on the record one last time. The Republican party is dead.

Trump did not solicit anyone. The Secretary of State and the Governor of Georgia should be convicted of these laws. They both committed election fraud.

Trump doesn't care one way or the other if there was real fraud or other irregularities. Imaginary fraud is perfectly fine if it can be used to change the election. Many of his supporters, even most of them, feel the same way. It's all a dirty game.

You can't change what never took place.

He should be charged with criminal attempt and solicitation to violate several of the offenses against public administration in the state of Georgia,
for which he cannot receive a federal pardon.

He never did. On the other hand, the Secretary of State and the Governor should be held accountable for violating these laws.

Agreed, but I'd be extremely surprised if justice was done with him. Instead of his head on a pike at the WH gates, We, the People will have to settle for a fine and a very strongly worded letter of censure.

That won't be enough for Trump who is totally devoid of ethics.

He'll probably get off on everything with an insanity defense. Trump can throw well over $100M at a legal defense. I doubt the US justice system can keep up.

Looks like this 'perfect' phone call won't be hidden on a top secret server.

It's certainly proof Trump is unfit to be President; he's either a crook or crazy. My bet is on batshit crazy.

Not as cray-cray as INT/IBDa/gfm, but still too insane to serve.

Despite the war chest, Trump has always loses in courts. But he is an excellent client. He excels at making his unethical lawyers wealthy.

How many times did he win in civil court on lawsuits? Trump is well known to be lawsuit happy and has screwed a lot of good Middle Class Americans with his scams, yet he became President.

Secondly, and more important, there's an important difference between a civil suit regarding voting and a criminal case against Trump. There's the rights of the accused, evidentiary differences, the right of due process and the right of the presumption of innocence. I think Trump's money will drag it out long enough that it doesn't matter. Trump would more likely to be put on "house arrest" at his residence: the Mar-a-Lago estate.

I haven't blocked one of your socks, so you should use that if you want to respond to me.

not. lol.

What is amazing is Trump is stupid enough to think the Secty of state could do that.

Not surprising to me. I thought Trump was that stupid before he became President.

What's amazing is that he keeps getting away with this crap. You know, just like Hillary. ;)

Except his neighbors won't let him serve his time there.

I had a case involving Trump's business once. I can't remember what about. I wish I had retained the letterhead. I still remember its look.
Maybe I garned an employee of his.

When do they decide if he can or not? Like it or not, Trump has rights and a bunch of metrosexuals in pink pussy hats whining about Trump living in his palace doesn't change Trump's rights.

I'd like to see Trump behind bars too just like I'd like to see Hillary do some time for her crimes, but I think we're all going to be disappointed and never see this:
