Donald Trump's influence will evaporate once he leaves office.

The media echo chamber which now insists that Trump will be a titanic political force for years to come sounds increasingly similar to the one that, five years ago, claimed he was no more than a flash-in-the-pan celebrity candidate. The glaring underestimation of Trump in the past and probable overestimation of his prospects today actually stem from the same error: the belief that Trump’s political appeal rests mainly on his personality cult, not on any association with a certain set of policy arguments.

"Donald Trump’s refusal to concede the election has fueled intense speculation about his post-presidency: will he start a new conservative cable network? Will he act as a kingmaker in the Republican party? Will he run for president again in 2024?

Underlying all of these rumors is the assumption that Trump will continue to hold sway over a significant voter base. But this is by no means assured. It seems just as likely that, over time, Trump’s trajectory will land him closer to associates like Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani – hosting a middling podcast and hawking branded merchandise while trying to fend off prosecution."

That's a pleasant thought, OP

I think it is true. I do not believe the GOP is actually behind him. They may exploit his legacy after he leaves office, but they know most in the nation have contempt for Mr Trump.

Unlike Reagan, no Democrat actually respects Trump. And unlike Reagan, fellow Republicans do not like him.

My greatest hope is they will abandon their love for his worst personal character traits such as overt racism, divider in chief, serial mendacity, laziness,
bigotry, contempt for science and media and pandering to the beliefs of the least informed. I hold out no hope that they will moderate on the issues. I'll take what I can get.

Trump was no anomaly. But without his lack of morals the GOP is just what they used to be.

The media will begin to ignore him little by little

Eventually he will try to start his own media entity

Then it will go bankrupt like everything else he’s done

That is if he stays out of prison long enough to do it

He’s old

His health will decline without the public stage he so craves

He is not going to live real long

He has terrible health habits

"Like Nietzsche’s Socrates, Trump was “the buffoon who got himself taken seriously”. Unlike a Socratic buffoon, however, Trump never overcame himself.

Bereft of the wider critique that once confounded political elites, his personality cult is no longer compelling even as a vessel for ressentiment."

Guardian = NYT. NYT = Pravda.

Trump was never a Republican politician, you bird brain. He was a unique, brilliant, populist conservative who was his own man - not a "Party man" in ANY sense. He was a man who knew how to cut the best deals for Americans and America and that's exactly what he did. He didn't take any bullshit from China or Iran - which is EXACTLY how it should be !! Most of the Republican politicians in DC are gutless wonders (with some rare exceptions).

A majority of the American electorate are now aware of the Biden crime family's outrageous corruption scandal, also, somewhere close to 60% of the electorate now believe the election was subject to massive fraud favouring Biden; and lastly, 74 million Americans voted very enthusiastically for Trump and they are very pissed off, and they are going to be a major pain , I think, in the "Sleepy Joe" Biden - "Heels Up"Harris administration. Trump never, EVER gives in; when a POS like Biden and, more to the point, the Democrat globalist billionaire ruling class ass-holes (who are his puppet-masters) cross Trump and cheat him out of a rightful election victory, you can bet he will not stop going for their collective jugular, 24/7, with ALL his energy until he gains bloody retribution. And more power to him, because this struggle truly is a battle between good and evil; right and wrong; and Trump is fighting for the right !
