he did what ANY DEMOCRAT WOULD HAVE DONE...what part of that do you not understand? it is possible a republican might say it is the private sector which must develop this, for profit, but a democrat? you are praising trump for doing what every democratic president would have done but even faster. there is no difference from the government providing this vaccine for every american without cost (outside of tax revenue), as universal health care that democrats want that would save about as many lives. how can you want one but not the other?

Right or wrong, Trump has been mocked since he was elected. I have yet to agree with every decision our presidents have made while in office, but in my lifetime, it's the dems who have made the worst decisions.

I give the pharms credit for coming up with a vaccine this quickly, it generally takes years to develop one and then test it.

Quite a bit of the "investment" came from the govt. Unlike most vaccines, this one does not contain any compounds related to a virus like most others do.
So far, there's only one person at the hospital the GF works at that has complained about any ill effects from receiving the vaccine (and she's a nutcase to
begin with according to ALL her coworkers). The GF said it didn't hurt any more than any other flu shot or injection and had no ill or other effects whatsoever.

I’m talking about Trump’s optimism about the prospects for an early vaccine.

He was castigated for uttering it. And no, today’s democrats are anything but optimistic. They are just the opposite—they seem to wallow in misery. Even Biden is going around talking about Dark Winters like he wondered off the set of Game of Thrones.

As much as his critics piss and moan about Trump’s lack of leadership, his *optimism* about an early vaccine needed to be heard at the time from an actual leader and Trump led the way. And he turned out to be dead to rights on it.

All the media and his critics could do is indulge in was knee-jerk Trump criticism. The lot of them give partisan hackery a bad name.

wow. you really are sensitive. you are actually blubbering like a snot nosed kid because the mean old democrats did not care very much what he said about how fast this vaccine might be developed- especially when he claimed there was windmill cancer, and used a sharpie to change a weather map to show a hurricane affecting alabama, wondered why we could not nuke a hurricane, said this virus was no big deal, just like the flu, you can get it and go to work, that this virus was under control, it would soon be down to nothing, and disappear by Easter...

AND YOU BELIEVE EVERYBODY SHOULD HAVE BELIEVED ANY ESTIMATES HE HAD ABOUT ANYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH SCIENCE OR REALITY?

Why should we believe Fauci? Fauci is the lead unaccountable bureaucrat on allergies and pandemics but the man’s mind changes like the weather. Oh, but Fauci gets a pass because—because, I don’t know really.

if you could read, you could read fauci's statements, how guarded they were, how he prefaced them with, based on what we know now, that he quoted other experts and their estimates. get it? what part of this is a new type virus do you not get? of course a new strain has elements to it NO ONE CAN PREDICT...they can only go by what the current data SUGGESTS....but you are griping because people laughed at trump when he made predictions because he is such a stupid shit moron. how the hell would he know? do you see why people laughed at his shit? he CLAIMS WINDMILLS CAUSE CANCER.
