If he wants to stay so bad, why is he pardoning all these dangerous uber-criminals you lefties fought so hard to get off the streets? He's probably more akin to the founders, who were mostly farmers and merchants who had to be dragged into public service and left as soon as possible. I just don't think he's trying to change the results of the election either, I think he's trying to document all the jackass maleficence so you can stew in it for the next 2 years.

Agreed nobody thinks she'd actually do it. So why say it except for dramatic effect? She's being a Drama Queen which is just as bad as an ITG. Yes, a little figurative talk is fine, but there has to be some reality attached to it. Her comment is purely for dramatic effect with no basis in reality. It's grandstanding, showing off, acting tough without anyone actually believing it.

The founders were educated knowing philosophy, Greek and Roman governments and had a background of knowledge and history. They were well educated. Trump has no knowledge of such things. He is a small man.
This election was run like those before. Trump was also afforded access to courts to make fake court cases and given endless recounts. He got more than any other candidate ever had. He was not cheated in any way.

This is where your obsession with democracy comes from. Both Greece and Italy were a conglomeration of city-states, with Rome being amongst the most powerful in what was to become Italy. Most of them had some sort of democracy set up to elect the local government, with only the landed gentry allowed to vote. Yes, most of these city-states had kings, emperors or some other form of dictator who ruled by divine right. Their successors were basically chosen by whomever had amassed the power to kill them. So you are correct. The founders probably were well schooled in the governments of antiquity, which is likely why they came to these shores to form a REPUBLIC.

Back to the farm to help his mom! Tom Jefferson went to the College of William and Mary for 2 years, but no degree(the College of William and Mary did offer degrees, but they prepared one for a career in the Anglican Church or as a professor)T. J. had this to say regarding higher education:

Much later in his life, Jefferson would be concerned with the education of his grandson, Francis Wayles Eppes. Of course I was picking, but I wasn't playing. Every American should recognize those 3, even you challenged leftards. And did you even read your article? These guys had a "classical education". From what I can discern, that consists of translating ancient texts into Greek and/or Latin and back again, with an awful lot of Greek Holy Bible thrown in(this was literally the criteria for gaining admittance to Harvard University in the 18th century!). Today, a classical education and $5 will get you a vente latte at Starbucks(less if you're an employee, which is likely if you have a classical education). And all these politicians with law degrees today! A fucking law degree is the new "classical education".

But 2 areas of a classical education would really come in handy today. The dissertations on morality, honor, honesty and decency, and the Bible. Gone now from all college campuses save the private ones.
