Health industry likes Obama's plan

I was making the point that many of the Drs that want nationalized health care are like the one we dealt with.

I wish the best for you and your wife, but how do you know that?

Many of the doctors I'm working with on this issue who want nationalized healthcare, like Dr. Henry Kahn of the CDC in Atlanta, believe the opposite, and they, like Dr, Kahn, are outstanding doctors and have a track record of putting their patients first.

Doctors who support nationalized healthcare recognize they may be making less money .. but they're putting the best interests of patients and the country over the prospect of more money.

Did you even ask the guy if he supported nationalized healthcare .. and if he's YOUR doctor, aren't their questions you should be asking of yourself?

are you comprehension impaired? who do you think has control over healthcare decisions?

Insurance companies.

That's who has control over healthcare decisions .. and their only interest is in making money. That's the only reason they exist.

Government does a pretty good job with Medicare/Medicaid and the administrative costs amount to about 3%.

Control in the hands of an entity that has the singular purpose of making money compared to an entity controlled by Americans that exists for access and coverage doesn't really seem too hard to figure out which works in the best interest of America.

No, I didn't want him to strain anything. He had already given up on a diagnosis for my wife.

In a nationalized health care system, there are almost always more protections for the Drs. In Canada you sign more releases than admission forms.

I am disgusted with the medical system. And unless you can point out something that the government took over that didn't get worse, or even point out something that the government does reasonably well (besides the military), I cannot see it improving with government control.

Medicare/Medicaid

How many seniors do you know that want to get rid of it?

you want to see Obama's rating go into Bush territory.
He's talking about removing the tax deductibility from employees medical premiums paid by the company.
That's million of middle class getting butt raped. He'll be way below 50% within 3 months of doing that.

hes doing alot of shit thats stupid right now. Obama's becoming a dangerous man in the white house in little more then a month. Im suspecting this jobs way over his head.

The reason the healthcare industry seems happy with Obama's plan is because it amounts to healthcare tweaking, not real healthcare reform.

It models the Wyden Plan.

What is the stupid shit? The stuff he said he was going to do when he ran for president and people voted for him?

Get real.

that's Bush's noose
Obama screwed the republicans out of their only real issue, tax cuts. He sacrificed the top 5% for the real world. 95 to 5, I like my odds in that fight.
What do republicans have left, nothing but mud slinging.

3T is bush? last i looked it was Obamas budget. Its utterly rediculous. You should realize that from your financially conservative stance. We willl never get out of hawk. Wait till SS underage and National health care kick in. This may very well be end of this country.

Henny Penny, what was the number on Bush's last budget?

under 500B.. compared with nearly 3T obamas first year. for perspective we have about 10.9T in overall deficit. this is a 30% increase.

orrrr if you like; enough to solve social security and pay for national healthcare for like 10years.

Wow. You think Bush submitted a $500B budget last year to run the government and that Obama has increased in to $3.6T?

Seriously?

OK. I was confused. You seemed to be saying that Obama's budget was a big huge problem and I think you are still saying that but I don't understand why that is. It's only modestly more than Bush's last budget.

They are both huge problems. It's not a Bush vs. Obama thing. Obama is taking something Bush did bad and exaserbating (sp) it.

You are kidding right? This was supposed to be funny? The amount of fraud due to a failure on the government to properly monitor and manage these over funded syphon's is astronomical
Actually you are both right, but you have the more important point. The whole goal of running an organization's administration is not to try and make administrative costs as low as possible, but to make them cost efficient.
If they added on more administrative staff such as consultants for example, then they may well have found out and stopped more fraud and overuse which would have lowered the overall costs of the program (Medicare).

This is a silly point the left keeps using; my business could fire all the administrative people and woohoo, admin costs go to near zero! Then we would all watch as the company burns to the ground...
