The Michigan Secretary of State says that she and her family faced harassment this weekend over the results of the 2020 presidential election.

“As my four-year-old son and I were finishing up decorating the house for Christmas on Saturday night, and he was about to sit down to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas, dozens of armed individuals stood outside my home shouting obscenities and chanting into bullhorns in the dark of night,” Jocelyn Benson (D) said in a statement on Sunday night. “I have always been an energetic advocate for the right and importance of peaceful protests as enshrined in the United States Constitution, however there is a line crossed when gatherings are done with the primary purpose of intimidation of public officials who are carrying out the oath of office they solemnly took as elected officials.”

“They shouted baseless conspiracy theories about the election, and in videos uploaded to social media, at least one individual could be heard shouting ‘you’re murderers’ within earshot of her child’s bedroom. This mob-like behavior is an affront to basic morality and decency.”

It is legal to stand outside someones home while openly carrying a firearm.
Heck. I stand outside peoples homes carrying a concealed firearm.

Why did BLM and Antifa not protest at the Capitols? All of there protests involved burning innocent peoples businesses down, rioting and looting. Then going on to politicians or media who did not agree with them private homes. I certainly am not condoning this, nor did I condone what the left did. But, as in everything, when you let one group get away with it expect another to do the exact same thing.

Major kudos to her - she takes her job seriously, and is committed to honoring the will of the voters. It takes more courage than people can imagine in today's climate, and in Trump's America.

The election has faulted in GA. She does not get to select the electors for GA. The legislature does. No one is threatening the secretary of State of GA.

They were protesting the results of a legal, Constitutional election whose results they didn't like. The purpose of this event was pure intimidation of an elected official doing her mandated duties.

Go protest at the capitol if your cause is just. Otherwise, you are just bullies.
