If we are both wearing face masks like the rules say to do, then you should be wearing whatever sign I wear. We are both complying with face mask rules, and neither one of our masks protects us from viruses.

There is a good mask presented in the opening post, it blocks viruses just the same as any cloth mask.

The mask is NOT INTENDED TO STOP VIRUSES. Not even the best surgical/hospital STOP viruses.
Masks are intended to help stop them...and they do.

When you compare thes size of a virus or droplet to the size of the pores in your mask, it looks just as ridiculous as mine does. You will NEVER be talking about that ratio though. You are just too dumb to understand that you cannot see a virus or the pore size that would actually stop a virus with your naked eye. If you could, you would see that your mask looks much like mine does.
It's pretty funny how you react to masks when you zoom in close enough to see how the pores in your mask look compared to how small a virus is, which is what you are seeing when you look at my mask.
Masks are not designed to STOP viruses, Ev.
They help stop viruses.
Speed limits are not designed to STOP auto accidents.
They help stop them...and mitigate against some of the damage caused by them.
Schools are not designed to STOP stupid.
They help stop it...although sometimes it does not work, as 70,000,000 voters proved this last election by voting for Trump.

If you cannot demonstrate that you understand what a mask pore is, what size it is, and what size a virus or droplet is, then you are not qualified to lecture anybody about masks. The fact here is that NO LEFTY on this site will ever talk about mask pore size compared to virus or droplet size, and this is because your mask looks just as ridiculous as mine does when you zoom in a little. Any arguments you make will rely upon evading discussion of pore and virus size and the extreme difference in these sizes.

Wearing a mask is less about reducing one's own chances of contracting the virus, and mainly about each of us not spreading the virus to others in the possible event that one might unknowingly be infected.
Masks are proven to reduce the distance airborne particulates travel. That in turn causes fewer people to be infected. The fewer the number of people who are infected, the sooner this shit goes away.
It's just a damned shame that so many people are too fucking short-sighted, self-centered and narrow-minded to understand the connection.
Selfishness and lack of care for others is something that is deeply rooted and ingrained in the psyche conservatives.

Multiple layers of fabric reduce the number of "virus droplets" as you so simplistically describe it.
There is no such thing as "virus droplets". They are saliva and mucus droplets and when they are forced to pass through a fabric membrane, they travel a significantly shorter distance which in turn, lessens the likelihood of spreading the infection to others.
A reasonably intelligent 12 year old could figure that out.
But not you, apparently.
When you see my mask, you are seeing the truth about masks. Your mask looks just as ridiculous as mine if you zoom in a little and see how enormous the pores in your mask are compared to the tiny size of a virus or droplet.
