Fairness Doctrine - It's Coming

Wait, no it isn't:

The Senate voted Thursday in favor of an amendment to the District of Columbia voting-rights bill that would prohibit the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from reinstating the so-called Fairness Doctrine, which critics say would decimate conservative talk radio.

The Senate passed the measure 87-11.

I hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. it's not going to happen. So quit the god-damned belly-aching about it.

No. Go ahead and say it. I'm happy. Of course I never argued that it was coming personally, but you shouldn't hate saying "I told you so."

:D

I can't wait.
Let it be like Title IX, and put a sock in Hannity's pie hole. Keep Rush Addict Limboaugh for laughs.

Don't worry, once they shut up Limbaugh and Hannity, they will come after this site and all sites who talk politics on the Internet next..

Ahhhhh dude... fortunately you have a lot of points in reserve but one can lose their man card throwing out things like Title IX.

Good news. Obama would be a fool to use all his political momentum on issues like this. He should go after national healthcare.. that will eat up his popularity down below 50%

Well it's hardly a 'wingnut thing' when you have Democratic Senators talking about wanting to bring the Fairness Doctrine back. If it was only a wingnut in the House like Barbara Lee that would be one thing but when you have Senators from large states publically out supporting it it gives it a little more validity. And with all due respect this was one issue where you missed the big picture in the argument you were making for it a few weeks back.

Obamas finding it a lot harder then he thought to keep the would be socialists in check within the democratic party.

What the hell are you talking about? Exactly no one proposed bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. It's a non-issue save for the reactionary right-wing shitheads and their goddamned persecution complexes.
