I really liked your comment about how Biden is perhaps the best person to try to reunite the USA. It's a pretty tall order, but if anyone is well prepared to do it, he is the one. I am encouraged by this.

I really wish you people would get off the national popular vote bullshit. The popular vote only counts state by state. Whoever reaches 270 electoral votes wins no mater what the national popular vote is.

If reuniting means accepting their false premises and us compromising our principles while they advance theirs then I will pass

If they were really interested in uniting the country then we wouldn’t have been subjected to four years of Russian collusion bullshit.

Sorry I am tired of conservatives accepting their bullshit in the name of comity and uniting while they stand idly by and watch the left destroy institutions

I switched to an independent years ago because of this bullshit attitude from so called conservatives. If they lie down now then I am finished with them for good. They can accept their position as a minority party. But I won’t be a part of it.

Poli, just a year or two ago you were openly rooting for economic calamity and now you’re claiming you want unity and us all to come together. Why should people who don’t like Biden not do exactly what you did?

You have a habit, Earl, of accusing political rivals as dishonest. It's a quality that would you serve you well on the side of a dictator. The "cheating", as it were that went on in Florida that year was mostly suppression of black voters and the substitution of Pat Buchanan votes for Gore votes. Anyway, the Supreme Court made no finding of "cheating" by Democrats, and the present election is not being won because of cheating. It's being won because more American voters chose Biden than Trump. It's over.

It's a non-starter. Nothing would be accomplished. Reds and blues are completely intertwined in every state. There are no clear lines where the two Americas could be divided, and even if they were it is a recipe for disaster because they would be at one another's throats forever. It would be like India/Pakistan or North/South Korea. Any hopes of divvying up the nation so everyone could be happy are truly naive.

We must learn to coexist in peace.

It's just pure logic.

The only reason I welcomed the huge dive in the market was because I believed that was the only way we could move beyond having a leader that openly encourages hatred and division. I knew it would not be good for America in the short term, but my hope was that if that was what took Trump down then it was worth the pain. I had no idea a bigger motivator to vote against Trump was coming in the form of a pandemic.

Anybody who is in the market with a 401K for their retirement would have nothing to fear from a big correction as long as they stayed in. The market would eventually come back up.

To specifically address your question, people who oppose Biden should not wish for the market to dive like I did during Trump because Biden has not married himself to the market.

My call for reunification is not about me. I am thinking of what is best for America. That is the spirit of this idea. What is best for America?

Just because I am one of the many voices calling for this doesn't mean it has anything to do with me.

It should be viewed in the macroscopic sense. Look at the logic of it:

Hatred and bitter polarization prevents us from accomplishing anything.

It's either learn to coexist and become functional as a nation or enter a period of stagnation which really means falling behind the rest of the world as it progresses.

If anyone could present a logical argument why hatred is the better path let them do so. Good luck making that argument. I don't see how it can be made.

These clowns sowed division and hatred for four years. They attacked the president and his family daily, hourly. They impeached an innocent president who was exonerated in the Senate.

Deplorables, racists, homophobes, Islama-phobes ...they assaulted Conservatives in the streets, in restaurants and in our universities.

They rioted, looted, burned assaulted and murdered in cities controlled by Democrats.

Now they want peace and friendship after they openly cheated in a presidential election.
