Trump must concede now or face removal from office

I think we have to wait till inauguration day to complain. If he's not out by then, Ill fly to Washington to help yank him out.

Doesn't he have to lose the election first?

So it's ok for left wing groups to be on "stand by", but if right wing groups are on "stand by" it's an outrage? Very interesting.

Also, Trump has until January 19th to concede before the peaceful transition of power would be in jeopardy. Fool.

Trump has until December 15th to be outside the norm.

That’s when Al Gore gave up on the chads.

Biden doesn't take office until January. Trump doesn't have to concede anything if he doesn't want to until that day arrives.

I believe, because of Trump’s ego and his hating to be humiliated, that he will go peacefully.

Mary Trump, in her book, talks of how her father dumped a bowl of mash potatoes on Donald’s head humiliating him and how he never got over it. He’ll complain and cry, but he’ll leave, and he won’t attend any of the usual ceremonies as I have stated before.

:eyeroll:

GOP leaders, demand that Trump stop his outrageous assault on America's vote now

Of course, there's no legal requirement that a candidate concede. The official vote totals are clear.

President-elect Joe Biden will assume the presidency on January 20, 2021, regardless of what Trump says.

But a concession could help the country move forward in a peaceful manner. It could help Trump supporters recognize that he lost legitimately. And it could renew people's faith in our new electoral system.

Trump has lost. The question of whether he will agree to a peaceful transfer of power is now squarely before us.

It's not enough for Democrats to oppose Trump's delegitimizing language. They have been doing it for years. It is not enough for journalists or election law professors to explain why Trump's message is so dangerous.

Republicans need to make a choice: How much do they value American democracy and the norms that must sustain it? The longer they wait, the longer Trump can create chaos among his supporters.

The longer they wait, the more doubt he sows about the true winner of this election.

The longer they wait, the more fragile our institutions will become.

As President Johnson said, “While we are prepared for the possibility of a president’s death, we are all but defenseless against the probability of a president’s incapacity by injury, illness, senility or other affliction.”

One of the 2th Amendments authors, Senator Birch Bayh, mentioned the possibility of a “deranged” president.

Rep. Richard Poff another author of the 25th Amendment, said it applied if a president, because of a “mental debility,” was “unable or unwilling to make a rational decision.”

Trump is the man they warned us about.

Trump has falsely claimed victory and sought to stop vote counting.

He says he will take the matter to the Supreme Court, promising again to do so in a Thursday evening speech.

It’s unlikely he could prevail on that front, however: Continuing to count outstanding votes is a legal and necessary part of the process.

Nevertheless, he spent much of Wednesday and Thursday tweeting attacks against election officials in swing states who’ve stated commitments to continuing the count, as well sharing conspiracy theories about improper ballot processing.

His access to Twitter must be removed.

I think he will be suspended soon after 1/21/2021
