Decisions by the Supreme Court are final...unless a later Supreme Court decides differently, which is not disgraceful, just a different decision by a different Court.

You may see this with Roe vs. Wade and restrictions by Democrats concerning the Second Amendment which has no restrictions.

You drew a blank with that reply, Earl. What is relevant is the correctness, or not, of what the Court does, and the topic of this thread is what should be the Court's decision, which your argument again evades. The most relevant of the Court's decisions, by the way, is Bush v. Gore which even Sandra Day O'Connor who was part of the ruling majority now says was wrongly decided. The will of the people is always paramount. The court overrides that on technical or pedestrian grounds. and by turning away from long tradition, at its peril and the country's peril.

It's not really an election if you call it before all the votes are counted and it could still go the other way.

In that case it is called a FARCE.

And then you lose the confidence of the public.

this isn't about counting the legal votes on time........it's about throwing away the entire concept of "on time" so the demmycunts can create more votes if they need them.......

nobody is saying they shouldn't.......some states tried to say votes could be counted even if mailed 14 days AFTER the election was over......now what could possibly go wrong with that scenario.......

PS: Absentee ballots don't even get counted unless the election is very close.

But last week, U.S. District Judge William Conley ruled absentee ballots could count as long as they were received by clerks by April 13 — six days after election day — regardless of when they were sent. Republicans appealed part of that decision and the U.S. Supreme Court in a 5-4 decision sided with them late Monday and required that absentee ballots had to be in clerks' hands by the next day or postmarked by then.
