The spirit of the Constitution is for the Judicial branch to be the weakest, to only have the power to review the law. Yet, the liberal justices always vote in a democrat block. There is no such thing as a conservative scotus legislating from the bench.

Your denial that Obama put activist judges on the bench is noted.

I totally disagree. It was a conservative court that ruled in favor of Roe. And despite 'the sky is falling' screams from the Left every 4 years, a conservative court has never overturned it in 5 decades

Conservative justices are textualists and originalists. What's wrong with that?

I know this and you know this but to watch the news no lady in the US is happy that Mrs. Barrett was confirmed. So I just had to remind [whoever it was I responded to] of that. ;)

She seems smart & capable. Part of me does celebrate this appointment.

I truly wish McConnell hadn't played politics at the end of Obama's term. It made this a really hard pill to swallow for a lot of people. It just feels like the balance is off now.

Barrett made it where she is based on having actually done something worthwhile. Horizontal Harris made it where she is based on having done someone or several someones.
