T-Minus 24 hours to full scale "Meltdown".

Trump is running his campaign like 2016 probably because he won with that style in 2016. Trump can't change, he doesn't grow and doesn't evolve. He's the same spoiled man-child he's always been.

Notice he only repeats the same Tweet stuff. He doesn't like to read and obviously didn't study or prep for this debate as most people would do.

It's probably the most stressful, but easiest debate Biden has ever had. He was winning just going into it and only needed to not fuck it up. He came close a couple times, but succeeded in the end.

Trump has a record. He is not running on vague and silly promises. We know even more what a self-centered crook he is and how incompetent.

yep, & why he is full tilt to try & make Biden look worse, as he has done w/ all his opponents......

Hillary was not liked prior, biden not the case so he has a mountain to climb & an evil strawman to build out of thin air.......

Thus far all his sleepy joe bull shit has failed & this isn't working either.....

He really has only one game, one plan, & seems incapable of making adjustments~sounds like a great plan for disaster.........

I was here in 2012 and righties liked Mitt Romney but they didn't defend him to the same extent as trump supporters.

I was on DP for years. We saw the typical political bantering, but nothing like we have seen since the hate-filled racist became POTUS. As I have said, trumpanzees are not ideologues, they are "fanboy" cult followers.

I was on an AOL board in 2008 and the same applied to McCain. In a million years I won't understand the hold trump has over his supporters.

That's because Trump supporters are taking a page from the Hillary Clinton Fan Club AKA Cult playbook. Seriously.

Again, all of this is just doing the same as has been happening in the US for 30 years, but up another notch. Both sides are becoming more divisive, more extreme and more authoritarian in their views. True, the Republicans are leading the pack, but both sides are doing it.

While Biden appears to be a unifying leader, once in office I think he'll go with the Democrat agenda. IMO, 2021 will be a repeat of 2009 meaning more division and less unification. I sincerely hope I'm wrong, I hope Biden and the Democrats move to take it down a few notches.

Why do people get behind any demagogue? It's not the demagogue themselves that create the situation, but the situation that creates the demagogue.

Obviously the most well-studied example is Hitler, but Stalin, Mao, Franco and others follow the same pattern; the cultural circumstances exist for such a demagogue to rise to power. If that is true, then if it wasn't Trump, it would have been someone else. Perhaps even a Democrat. Look at FDR.

Would Hitler have risen to power if Germany hadn't lost WWI? If the Treaty of Versailles hadn't been jammed down the throats of the German people? A treaty so bad that the US refused to sign it.

There should be no doubt that Trump's legacy will be dozens, if not hundreds of studies, books and articles about why a delusional narcissist rose to command the most powerful nation on the planet. His legacy won't be because he unified the nation and proved to be the greatest leader since Reagan.

Why do you think that is?

IMO, it's because racists and other hate-filled assholes have been "given permission" to do so by Donald J. Trump. He ran on that permission in 2016 and continued to do it right up to "Proud Boys: stand back and stand by". Once they start exercising that permission then others join it.

The good news is that, like other political and/or religious extremists, they are very loud but also very few in number.

I'm not kidding about all Americans buying a gun, learning how to use it and be prepared to kill domestic terrorists marching down American streets.

We, the People outnumber any enemy, foreign or domestic, but we need to stand up and be counted to defend our nation. Peaceful means is best, but we must be prepared to do violence to those who attack our nation.

George Orwell once wrote "Those who 'abjure' violence can do so only because others are committing violence on their behalf." IMO, it is the duty of every American to protect our families, friends, neighbors and ideals even if it means committing violence against enemies.

I don't recall such slavish devotion from Rmoney supporters back in 2012.

There are lots of things you can't recall, aren't there?

Of course, at your age, that's completely understandable. :D

The issue is not what you can or cannot recall (you poor old thing), it's what you may have said during every election cycle.

Are you admitting that you can't recall what you said during previous presidential campaigns?

Trump will make all the voters millionaires and allow them to hate minorities in public. What more could they want?
Trump is a despicable man and a selfish crook. He is not the problem. It is those who want him to succeed. The Reds cannot see through his con after 4 years. We may be doomed.
