Same Sex Marriages

Jesus never mentioned a word about homosexuality. BUT...Jesus did say this:

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets. I have come, not abolish them, but to fulfill them. Of this much I assure you: UNTIL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS AWAY, NOT THE SMALLEST LETTER OF THE LAW, NOT THE SMALLEST PART OF A LETTER, SHALL BE DONE AWAY WITH UNTIL IT ALL COME TRUE." Matthew 5: 17ff

Killing "men who laid with other men" is a part of the "law" that Jesus insists he was not here to change.

I personally guess that the Bible is just a codification of principles of the early Hebrews...nothing more.

But...the question of what the Bible says was asked...and the Bible says that men who engage in same-sex conduct should be killed...and Jesus said he was not here to change that.

You're really stretching things. That's not the law, that's just how they handled it. The nature of homosexuality stands but so does judge not less thee be judged. People's invented punishments that debase life are meaningless self fullfilments of wraths desire and must be cast aside to walk the path of Christ.

She couldnt take the part about nuns not getting none. Unless you count all the times they are working out doing pushups in the cucumber patch out in back of the nunnery.....;)

Like Women in Prison, the Nunnery is a Hotbed of Lesbian Sex. Why Phantasmal chose this Path is beyond me. She's turned her back on God and will now have to face the Consequences. (SO SAD)

It's the Word of God.
Read the Bible.
Get your Mind Right.
Forsake Satan with his temptations.
Do you want to Burn in Hell for Eternity?
Apparently so.....:( No more than "Aesop’s Fables"? (Yikes..that's going to mean a trip to confession, for sure)..What's your favorite?
Civil unions is the key, though-the alternative to marriage...that's cool....

It's a step in the right direction.

Here's what I know for sure: in 100 years, gay marriage will be legal everywhere & will not be any kind of issue.

Because that's how history has marched.

My first thought ... is a good Caning. Maybe administered by Mason.

Jesus was not a Christian, nor did he found the religion of Christianity. . He was a devout Jew who was subject to the Jewish law.

Paul and the early disciples made a conscious decision to bring the Gospel to the Gentiles, and to make their faith about the meaning of the death and resurrection of Jesus... the gospel they brought to the Gentiles was not about fidelity to prohibitions against eating shellfish, circumcision, or other Jewish law. The theological debate in Christianity is how much of the Jewish law Christians have to follow.

Historically The primary importance of the old Testament to Christians are the parts which seem to prophesied the coming of Jesus

C'mon, Croc.

Leviticus is THE LAW. It records what the god of the Bible commands Moses to instruct the Hebrews.

It most assuredly is the law that Jesus said he was not here to change.

It is pap...and if you characterized it as pap, I would agree. But to cast it aside as you suggest is to reject the words of the god Jesus worshiped...and the god Christians are suppoed to worship also.

Nonsense. The prohibitions mentioned by the god Jesus worshiped (and Paul worshiped) were not to be changed. Certain prohibitions, particularly that of circumcision and dietary restrictions were modified for non-Jews entering the church.

But to suppose a law like the one mentioned in Leviticus 20...suddenly is changed...is absurd.

Modified by whom?

Read your Bible. Homosexuality is an abomination.
Read your Bible. Only men laying with other men is specified as an abomination. There is no prohibition against women laying with other women. Homosexual men are not considered abominations (at least there is no mention of such in the Bible), just the act of gay male sex.

Thank you Brother Frank. It is amusing how these people dance around God's Law so they can engage in their Homosexual Orgies. As they Scream in Agony, Burning for Eternity, they will Learn the Lesson of God and the Righteous Path.

Do you have any documentation for that? (using my best USF911 voice)
