I see you're point but it would be difficult. You're comparing apples to oranges. The internet does not use the publics airwaves to broadcast any content. It is all done via private sector bandwidth. In addition there's no practical way they could regulate the internet in that manner.

So may I assume you are also opposed to protests on public property? If you can justify shutting down conservative talk radio because it is "public property", it won't take long before other forms of expression are silenced. It's the same thing. And I can guarantee you the vast majority of the public will be outraged *if* Democrats push the fairness doctrine. I say if because I don't believe they're that stupid. Fairness doctrine is unpopular as it is unfair.

If you want to live in a fucking dictatorship where the government decides which forms of speech are acceptable and which are not, perhaps North Korea or Iran would better suit you.

Who said anything about shutting them down? I said they should be regulated. Try to read more carefully. All forms of expression are regulated in public. You can't shout "Fire" in a crowded theater. The propagandist, of both sides, have been guilty of this on the publics dime and the public has the right to regulate it. This is not prohibiting free speech.

Fuck man if the Nazi's want to start advocating throwing Jews into blast furnaces they can do it on their own dime and through the private media and not THE PUBLIC AIRWAVES!

Besides with Nazi's like you around why would I need to go to Iran or North Korea when all's I need to do is go to South Carolina or Alabama or rural Indiana.

The advancement of conservative ideas does not equate to shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theater. You wish to "regulate" talk radio (effectively shutting out the conservative viewpoint), while conveniently ignoring the televised media which is controlled by the left-wing.

You resort to personal smears because you are on the losing side of the argument. I am not a Nazi -- I find their ideology despicable -- but no way in hell should their freedom of speech be violated just because you don't like it. Unlike you I believe in freedom even if I don't agree with how that freedom is used.
 
If they do attempt this, I'm going to demand they also include those loud mouth haters, Keith Overblown and Rachael Madcow.

What I'm trying to say, is that making the radio fair and fining them for the lies they tell would be pointless since we already own the internet and the new mediums, and the younger generation will NEVER be stupid enough to be brainwashed by talk radio in the way that the farts were.

The point is is that if the public doesn't want the public airwaves polluted with partisan political propaganda, they have the right to regulate it. Yes. If it is done by those who are not peaceably assembling you betcha I do and the public has the right to regulate that too. You do not have the right to march in public with the purpose of disturbing the peace or rioting.

We are talking about regulating political propaganda on the Public Air Waves. This is no different then the issue of obscenity on the Public Air Waves.
