So, has Hunter Gate been debunked by anyone has the authority to debunk it? Excludes: opinion writers and any reference to such phrases as ‘people familiar with the matter’ and/or unnamed sources.

First off, no one has established who the supposed laptops, and there were three, belonged to, the only evidence that they belong to Hunter Biden was a sticker on one regarding his brother Beau Biden's fight with cancer. Also, no one knows who dropped off the laptops, just coincidently, the security tape from that time was mistakenly erased

Should I go on, it is easy, top to finish, the whole episode stinks, and no one outside of "the truth ain't the truth" Rudi has access to the supposed laptops, and he refuses to let anyone else see them

The FBI ain't investigating the validity of the supposed bombshell, rather, if it is part of Russia's campaign to spread disinformation prior to the election

The problem you have is that Rudy says he has the service agreement signed by Hunter Biden.

Also, the tale you cited does not say the FBI is investigating. It says, ""a person familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity".

It also says "An FBI spokeswoman declined to comment Friday, citing the bureau’s practice of neither confirming nor denying investigations".
