It came in just under its record revenue from 2007. It is not struggling.

This would have been equivalent to providing wall street firms with tax dollars only to watch the executives give themselves big bonuses.

If Hollywood were to get any tax payers money, then they should implement the same rule. No one makes over $500k unless the money is paid back.

I don't know who gets to deem "proper." Jobs are jobs. They are looking to help a wide variety of industries with this bill. The idea is to get people back to work, and preserve jobs they currently have.

I do not think we need to be doing any bailing on businesses that are still viable and making money even if it is less money.

However the non viable ones do not need any more money flushed down the toilet on their behalf.


Take care of the people more than the corps.
 
I do like the idea of scrapping some of this rubbish and putting in a tax break considering the money came from taxes. 1T is about 1/3 of our annual tax revenue.

I agree. What these pinheads don't understand is that we had eight years of tax cuts, and just as they were about to start to work, the pinheads won an election! Now they are going to fuck everything up with this stimulus shit. I say, scrap the stimulus and give us more tax cuts, all tax cuts, nothing but tax cuts. And when the normal people in this country, the great silent majority, rise up and take their tax cuts to the mall, you are going to see a new morning in America! Of course, the pinheads would hate that!

No, that is in the Executive powers area, and in the Declaration of War clause. As for take your money, that was an Amendment. As an emergency during WWII they started taking money from your checks rather than having you pay taxes at the end of the year.

At this point basically i just want my own money cause the government are a bunch of fuck ups. So ill take the taxes back.
